Question about Computers & Internet

Have switched from Vista to Windows 7 when my computer crashed. When typing the cursor moves up one or two lines and words are entered on that line instead of where I was typing. Very frustrating. This happens even when I am not using the mouse. How do I resolve it?

How do you do multiple lines when embroidering words and get the space and the word to move down to the next line?

If I understand your question correctly, make sure that when you select multiple lines to copy and then paste that you select the entire lines. When you go to paste your multiple lines, make sure that your cursor is at the front of the line you want to move down. When you choose paste, the multiples lines will be inserted appropriately.

-->I have multiple lines here that I want to "embroider" into my document. I will click and drag my mouse from the beginning of these lines of text to the _very_ end of them. <---
and then choose copy (or cut).

This is the line of words that I want to move down to the next line.
^ I need to make sure my cursor is right in front of the "T" in This. I choose Paste and the multiple lines will be inserted above these words.

What application are you using? MS Word?

I hope this answer helps!

A computer on my network has the same IP address; this causes a conflict.

This will cause one of the pc's not be able to get online. each one of ip's is unique. First this will need little knowledge if the ip's addresses are assigned manually. If not, rebooting the pc most times resolves the issue. If this does not work you need to open you command prompt which can be done by clicking on start and clicking on run on XP, clicking on start and typing cmd in to search in the bottom whith the little magnifing glass and it will pop up towards the top of that same window(it will say ether cmd.exe or command window. Once you see the cmd.exe do a right click on it and click run as administrator. this will work for vista or windows 7 any versions. once a black box opens just type in where cursor is blinking "ipconfig/release" and press enter. once you see the blinking cursor just type in "ipconfig/renew" and give it a minute to connect. When you type in this command do not type the " sign just words. ipconfig commands are same for windows xp, vista and windows 7. Hope this helps.

Letter writting problems

Do you use a laptop or some sort of keyboard with a mouse pad? My son used to have that problem when he would type as his thumb would accidentally hit the mouse pad and move the cursor. We solved it in a very low tech way by taping a notecard over the mouse pad when he was using the computer. Depending on the manufacurer, there are ways to turn off the mouse pad while continuing to use a mouse.
