Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Had the same problem with our Bosch, cap would not even turn!
Suggestions- (+ loads of patience!)
pour anticalc/limescale fluid into any gap there is around the cap. Empty the machine and you can switch it off providing the door is open! Then pour the contents of at least 2 sachets of proprietary anticalc powder/liquid into the drum direct together with a kettle full of boiling water. Leave overnight at the very least. The following day run just a spin cycle as then there will be no water diluting the mix. This mix will go through the filter and motor and is likely to help release the filter/cap. If you feel like it, do the overnight again. If nothing else it will ensure that the heater element is clean!
I had to spend a couple of hours gently turning the cap back and forth until it finally released its hold- but the filter did not remain attached to the cap by its rubber ring. More patience, anticalc fluid and all was revealed!
I now run an anticalc clean regularly............which reminds me..............!
Good luck
John C

The drum is not turning, but the water pump is working. The belt is OK but the motor that drives the belt does not seem to be rotating

Using a voltmeter check to see if electricity is reaching the motor - if it is then the motor is no good and in need of replacement.

If the motor has a start capacitor you can try replacing that first before replacing motor. If no cap, just get the motor.

Hoover not sucking

Remove all filters and try the suction on your hand, NOT THE FLOOR!
Filters are vital to keeping the motor working.
Most vacuum sucking probs are a result of a clogged filter or filters. Sometimes, hoses also. Or a full bag.
Remove all filters, clean them thoroughly, check hose for obstruction.
Use another vacuum to remove dust/dirt (or an air compressor) from the dirty filters.
That's first step.

Hoover nextra HNL662 will not fill ,door lock will come on ,but unit will not fill

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

HOOVER HNL662 80 I have just replaced washing machine pump as machine was not pumping out water. As machine still not working I cleaned drainage flexible pipe. As it is still not working would you please...

Make sure your pump is getting over 110VAC If the pump is getting power and turning there must be a kink or block in the hose from the washer to the drain.

Is the drive belt worn or cracked? Look for it to be quite snug when it's on it's sprockets and ensure there are no cracks or wear marks on it.
Replace it if you need to by putting a new one on. I do not think there is a tensioner on that drive.

I have a Hoover washing machine HNL662 front loader and am getting an electric shock from the drum.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Silly question time first ;-0)
Has this only just started or only just noticed- what's changed, please? Have you previously always worn slippers/shoes which would have isolated you from 'earth' but are not now- because of a change of floor covering for instance?

Possible causes;-
1) the socket into which the washer plugs has no earth continuity, or has lost it,
2) the plug has recently been rewired without a good earth
3) the 'earthing' cable inside the washer has come off. I doubt the latter as it would normally be bolted on to the chassis, or sometimes with a spade terminal.
If you have no-one handy and 'electrically' competent to check, call a local electrician to do the initial checking. It's an easy enough task!

Good luck,

John C

After syphoning water out of drum, remove and clean filter located at bottom front left of washer, if there is a screw in the filter cover, unscrew this first.
Remove filter by unscrewing anti-clockwise.

How do I set the washing machine to spin only on a Hoover Nextra HNL662?

Adjust the timer to the end of any cycle. The pressure switch will recognize the water presence, and drain before spinning.
