The accumulation of ice on one side indicates a refrigerant problem. Basically there is a refrigerant leak and some of the refrigerant has been lost.
A technician can repair the leak and re gas the refrigerant for you.

When you thaw or let the ice melt, make sure all the vents between the freezer(upper compartment) and refrigerator(lower compartment) are clear of ice or obstructions. This is very important! Make sure all vent ducts and tubes are clear of ice!!! Next Level the unit front to back and side to side. Make sure the refrigerator is level. When level the doors should close without assistance. It is normal for water build up and dripping sound in the fridge do to condensation, the air vents and an evaporation pan located behind the cover in the rear of the freezer will eliminate the water if unit is properly leveled. I had the same problem, then i read the user manual. this will also eliminate all the water in the lower compartment.

Rubbing noise on fridge side - ice build up behind lower panel

The rubbing noise comes from your build up of ice. If no auto-de-icer, then unplug your fridge or turn it off, allow it to thaw, remove all dripping water. restart or replug

I use a shop vac to remove water.

be sure NOT to break, or chip the ice, as you may break freezer components

Water leak front left corner of freezer.

Your defrost drain line in the freezer is frozen closed.
You must turn off the fridge.
Remove the visible ice.
Use a hair dryer at the drain opening in the lower back of the freezer to melt the drain line ice.

KITCHENAID MODEL KSRJ25CNST-00 FRIDGE QUIT MAKING ICE WITH OUT ANY WARNING. WTER IS WORKING.

I have this model and it has stopped making ice for two different reasons. These solutions may not fix your particular problem, but they worked for me.

Problem #1: the water inlet to the ice tray is frozen shut.
Solution #1: Raise the door that hides the ice tray. The water inlet is the black rubber nozzle on the right-hand side that points down into the ice maker. Squeeze the rubber nozzle between your fingers to break up any ice that may have formed inside the nozzle. This will clear the water path into the ice maker. Lower the ice tray door.

Problem #2: an ice cube is stuck in the ice tray.
Solution #2: Raise the door that hides the ice tray. Look for any pieces of ice that were not completely ejected from the ice tray - they are usually partially ejected and are very easy to see. Carefully (but it may require a good deal of force) remove ice cube from tray. Lower the ice tray door.

I hope this helps.

Ice in bottom of fridge

ok Your defrost drain is frozen or has algae blocking it it’s at the back of the freezer behind the evaporator cover. You can see it without removing the evaporator cover. You might or might not see the drain hole because of the ice now you can sit and poor hot water on it till it thaws then get a thin wire and run down the tube till its clear or sit there with a hair drier and thaw it .But if you don't mind a small investment ill tell you the best way to deal with it .Go to Lowe's or some where like that and buy you a eureka model 350 hand held steamer. Trust me it will be one of the best investments you'll ever make. You will find 1001 uses for it besides this and the steam will not damage your refrigerator and all the attachments make it very useful. Remove the evaporator cover and take the steamer and melt the ice under the evaporator where the drain pan is. Then you will see the drain hole. Put the curved tip on the steamer an start clearing the drain hole now when you get it melted enough to where the curved tip makes a seal around the drain hole let the steam build then hold down the trigger till you hear it at the back of the refrigerator and your done put the evaporator cover back on then think of all the other uses for that steamer now I told whirlpool about it they tested it and now have it posted on their web site
