Question about Rival RCF25 Deep Fryer

Open Question

My rival cf 154 timer knob broke and I have had it over the warranty period by 4 months or more and have used it very little. The parts fell down inside that broke off. I am a person who takes very good care of all my products having some for 20 years. I would like to know where I can get a timer knob and filters should I need the?? I think they should look into making the knob out of some kind of metal instead of plastic in the future! Email address:

Same here, timer knob split down the shaft and fell off in my hand when turned to the (ON) non-timer position...I have only used this fryer twice, Got it for X-mas 07 model CF154. So I politely contacted Rival by through the Contact us, Questions and Comments E-mail system they have on there website and explained in detail the problem I was having and that I used (Thick CA glue and activator) to fix the problem for the time being so I could complete dinner and ASK for help getting a new knob, and again thanked them for any help they could offer, putting my complete address and contact information in the body of the E-mail just to keep it together.

I received an E-mail back the next day saying being the unit was under warranty and there were NO knobs for my unit CF154, they were sending a new unit, model CF156. The new model has a digital timer with analog temp control and no top window (did not use it anyway) and is squarer in shape.

Great next day E-mail response and solution.

Bought Bush fridge freezer 13 months ago. fridge broke down twice with same problem. defrost timer. Can i complain to bush

you can ask again for it to be looked at repaired
even if it is out of warranty
fixed twice during warranty period (for free i hope )

if point of sale will not refund or repair or replace fridge freezer

you will need lots of paper work receipts of repairs and calls and conversations made etc etc
then you have to take the company /manufacturer of the bush fridge freezer to small claims court and try to get money back

Timer knob broke in half on my Rival 154.

I would get in conact with the company or the manufactor and tell them to pay you for other one and they can send it to you.

Could not find a manual for either the CF 153 or CF 154 deep fryer.

Plastic handle on lid broke. Is there a replacement part for this?

Rival cookers are now The parts page for your model shows no parts available, but there's a "contact us" link. You can try that and see if they can recommend a replacement handle from another model that might work.

When a friend's cooker needed a new handle, I went to Home Depot and picked up a plain wooden drawer pull and a flat rubber washer (plumbing department). The original handle has a curve to fit the lit, so I used a wood rasp to put a little curve on the bottom of the knob. Then I put the rubber washer under the knob and tightened the screw snugly. That was nearly two years ago and it's still going. So if you can't find the exact knob you can try rolling your own.

There is an 800 phone no. on their web site, under their service section. I ordered one for mine. The cost was 1.00 plus shipping and handling. It came to a total of 7.37

Deep Fryer Element Won't Heat Up

Look for the reset button and it should come back on. I just did and lights came on immediately.
