You could buy a new clutch on ebay or just buy the springs . check your clutch drum bearing sometimes these become worn and will cause your chain to turn and grease it good ,,the clutch drum should spin freely when your saw is shut off and check to see if there is any play in the clutch or noises when you spin it ,,, oh ya you have to take the bar and chain off

Motor runs but blade stops 1" into the wood

Seems like it could be a clutch/drum issue. I have known clutches to break through the threads in the crank shaft so they appear tight but are actually broken. I'd look at the drum assembly to see why the drive to the chain is slipping.

When u step on the gas all it does is shake and the motor wont pull the car

You do not mention if the vehicle is manual or automatic. Whichever, you problem appears to be with the drive, if a manual the problem would most likely be the clutch which is slipping to the extent that it does not drive at all, or if an automatic, the clutches in the box are slipping or the transmission has just failed completly. Whichever it is, the transmission will have to be removed to affect repairs.

start the machine let it fill

It might have a "wet" clutch like my Yamaha which means that the clutch is in contact with the motor oil. If you use motor oils that have cleaners in them to remove gunk and all that bad stuff then it can cause your clutch to slip. I don't mind the clutch slip though it keeps the bike from popping a wheelie under hard acceleration :)

1200 goldwing clutch slip

Six yrs, is a long time. You really should change the oil. Oil also breaks down like gasoline does. Wet clutches require an oil containing certan sdditives. Old or regular motor oil is not well tolerated. Make sure you have free play on the clutch lever., about 1/8 in. - good luck- Ned

Clutch pulling

Your clutch is not fully disengaging.Adjust the cable at the lever until you have plenty of free play. Then adjust the cable at the motor until you have full engagement then readjust lever to 3/8 in play.Fine tune at the motor. It may take a few trys but you can get it.
