Your computer has to recognize MTP. If you plug it into a Windows Vista computer, it will recognize your device. hope this helps

I connect sansae260 to PC, Nothing apears on Sansa's Screen

You may need to now reset the player, that may have been a bit much for it.
To reset your Sansa Mp3 player.
  1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds.
  2. Release the Power switch.
  3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
If that does not get your player working again, try and Format to clear any corrupt files that may be present.

Hi I bought scandisk e260 without cd, when I connect it to the computer, the computer ask me to locate driver. Where can I get driver? thanks

Try connecting it to another computer and see if it will recognize it as sansa or removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansa and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier Make sure USB mode is MSC I use my computer to drag and drop my music from my music folder to the sansa media folder.... Open my computer click on folder what ever folder has your music in it and drag to media folder and drop (click on the (+)where it say's sansa ) easier not to sync

Cannot connect

Did you run the installation CD before you plugged the mp3 player into the computer? If not, disconnect the mp3 player from computer, uninstall all the Sansa software on your computer, and reinstall the software from the installation CD.

If the uninstall/reinstall fails, update the firmware on the player from Sandisk's website.

Good luck!

Computer wont recognize sansa clip mp3 player

Reformat clip with disk utility after looking at it like an external disk. Do this by turning it off. Puting it in lock mode. Hold down middle button as you plug it in.

I am mad at my Clip as it did the same thing.

Screen shot here:
Sansa clip not recognized.

I need to install drivers for my sansa sandisk

Well I found out that if load the the firmware upgrader on your computer and then
slide the power switch to hold position and then
keeping the select button pressed down
plug it to the computer.
Hold it for say 15 sec and then let go.
In a minute or so the firmware updater will pop up asking you to check for firmware upgrade.
choose the default and follow the prompts

your frown will turn to smile.

Computer won't read mp3 player

First, reset.
If that fails, then try to download the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool from:
http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1532
If that still fails, upgrade the firmware from the Sansa website
If that fails, uninstall the software from the installation CD and reinstall it from the Sansa website.
