Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

Won't turn off!

Just got my player, and charged it for 8 hrs. The little battere turned green. The instructions are very bad..no details, so I'm contacting you. The screen is lite and have a little wheel spinning, with the word above it "connected". What is going on? What should I do? How do I turn it off? Where is the "on-off" switch? P.

Remove the four screws from the back, remove battery and and put it back in this clears problem. Problem comes from disconnecting MP3 player incorrectly. Make sure your safe to remove hard wear is active

Low battery and will not charge

The battery maybe worn out.
If the Media player battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

I am having the exact same problem. I put songs on the MP3 player and it hasn't worked since. I'm not getting any help or support. If you find out what the problem is, please contact me. This is is so disappointing to buy a Xmas present that doesn't work!
