Heloo sir i have a problem with my dell 170l when i start it it shows ''strike F1 to continue, F2 to run the setup utility'' when i click f1 it show ''f1 to retry boot,f2 for setup utility'' plz help me...

Hit F2,look in setup to see if the hard drive is recognized and check that the date and time are correct.
Then hit esc key. it will ask if you want to save changes, click yes. It should boot and probably ask you to hit F1 or F2 again., unless there is a problem with the CMOS battery, which may need to be replaced.
If you hit F1 to continue, it will boot, but your time and date will be off.

My Laptop is Dell Latitude D600 (A16) Everytime I tried to power up, Splash screen appears with blue bar and when going into next screen this message appears " No bootable devices--strike F1 to retry...

Check your BIOS, by pressing F2 and see if the hard drive is recognized. It should indicate the MFR next to the hard drive listing. If it's not there, then you might have a bad hard drive. If it is there, try re-installing the operating system with the set-up disk. You can also go to the Dell website, enter you service tag number, and get technical support for your particular laptop. It might have a recovery partition in the hard drive to recover to factory settings.

No boot device available- strike F1 to retry boot F2 for setup utility

you can try this steps to resolve your issue:
1. clean your disc drive with white cloth and alcohol
2. try to re-install the OS
3. if this won't work try to download another boot disk like EBCD
or ask a friend to create you a boot disc and try to boot your computer with it.

- This can rule out or confirm a Bad Windows OS disc, thus let's you install you Windows OS in the process.

4. try to re-install again the OS

Dell latitude C610

From the Bios, load all the default settings and then check the bios SATA port settings. If it is set to AHCI, change it to IDE to boot from Hard Drive. This should solve the problem

Dimension 3100 Won't Boot

Make sure your HD Cables are all firmly plugged in, and that all drives are starting when you turn on the computer. You can tell with harddrives as they will slightly whine, and have a small, steady vibration to them. If they are all starting, and all cables are fully seated, check in your Setup utility that the drives themselves are Auto-Detect. If none of this fixes your issue, you may have to refer your computer to a computer repair shop.

Hope this helps!
