Question about Motorola Cell Phones

1 Answer

My motorola grasp won't open up my music files, it always says, "MicroSD does Not contain supported files." I do have a microSD card, it was fully functional before I added more music to it, I am positive I didn't put to much music for the SD card size. It is a 4GB card.

How do i delete music from my motorola ce01868 mod xt907...i can't find a solution anywhere....help please

Delete files using your computer:
  1. Connect your device to a computer using a data cable. (It is recommended to connect directly to the computer, not through a hub). If your device is not being recognized by your computer, you may need to update your computer's USB drivers HERE.

Note: microSD Card Slot not active. A future software upgrade will enable this device support up to microSD cards up to 32GB.
  2. Use your computer interface to delete files stored on your device.
(Windows)
  • Open Computer or My Computer
  • Your device should appear
under Portable Devices (If your device is not being recognized you may need to update your drivers) Click here
  • Select your device and select Device Storage.
  • For photos & videos select
    DCIM > Camera
  • For Music select Music or any other folder which contains music files
  • For any other files you wish to transfer, select the folder which contains the files to move to your computer.
  • Note: You can organize, rename and delete folders from your windows machine while the device is connected
(Apple/Mac OS X)
Download and install the Android File Transfer app from www.android.com/ filetransfer, then connect your Motorola XOOM using USB. The app will then allow you to
access and transfer media back and forth.

Delete files using third party application:
While we do not endorse or guarantee these solutions, or provide support for them, some owners have reported success using a 3rd party Android Application like "Astro file manager". You can search the Android Market for 3rd party applications that are available that will enable you to view and delete files from your Motorola XOOM.
To delete files using Astro,
  1. Launch Astro from the apps menu
  2. Navigate to the file you wish to delete
  3. Long press the file that you want to delete and touch "Edit" from the popup menu
  4. Touch "Delete" from the 2nd popup

How can I download music to my fusion2 phone

First you:
2.9.1 Using the microSD Card as USB Mass Storage
To transfer all your favorite music and pictures from your PC to your mobile phone's microSD card, set the microSD card as USB mass storage.
1. Connect your mobile phone to your PC with the USB cable provided. Your PC will detect the microSD card as a removable storage device.
2. Open the notification bar, and then touch USB connected.
3. Touch Turn on USB storage in the dialog box that opens to confirm that you want to transfer files You can now transfer files from your PC to your mobile phone's microSD card. When your microSD card acts as USB mass storage, your mobile phone will not use this memory space. Ensure that you follow the correct procedures to disconnect the USB mass storage device (your mobile phone) from the PC when you have finished transferring files.

Then:
8.3.1 Copying Music to the microSD Card
1. Connect the phone to your computer with a USB cable and mount the microSD card.
2. On the PC, navigate to the USB drive and open it.
3. Create a folder in the root directory of the microSD card (for example, Music).
4. Copy the music from your computer to the folder you have created.
5. After copying music, unmount or eject the drive as required by your PC's operating system to safely remove the mobile phone.
6. Disconnect the mobile phone from the PC.

Once done open music player and play music.

My LG Neon is not recognizing the microSD? card. it says "not supported". the memory card itself is microSD HC 8GB. it currently has music on it. not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Hi,the music on the memory card has nothing to do with it,the problem is that the memory card is not supported by the phone, the phone uses a microSD card quite alright but the maximum SD card it supports is 4gb microSD card that is why the 8gb microSD card is not supported by the phone.
so i'll suggest you get a 4gb microSD card.

Take care

My music player was working fine and then "poof" all of a sudden I try to play it the other day and I get the message "microsd not contained supported music files". I've tried moving all my music files to...

Try to run the files you got from your music player on to your desktop, see if that works. It simply looks like the files you had on your card are corrupted, maybe u need to delete these files and format you card, and then load music on it.

Hope this helps !!

How do i load music into my new i856 by boost

according to motorola, this phone has bluetooth and micro SD card slot.
if you have computer with bluetooth, then you can pair the computer and phone and simply send music files wirelessly via bluetooth.
if you dont have bluetooth, then you can buy a cheap usb bluetooth adapter from ebay and have a bluetooth enabled computer, then follow above step.

if you have SD card slot on your computer then you can get a SD card to micro SD card slot adapter from ebay or elsewhere, where you can simply put music on then card from pc and then transfer the card to the phone.

here is the phone manual.for safety read the whole manual.
p.55 for music and p.79 for bluetooth instructions.

MicroSD does not contain supported music files

I went back to the US Cellular store and presented the problem to the salesman that sold me the phone. He said that I needed to remove the memory card and put it in a card reader and transfer the music files to the card through the card reader. My Gateway desktop has a card reader and I transferred the music files to the card and then to My Music folder under My computer and it worked. Strange to have to do it this way but it works.
