Choycemoon, that will work, that's how I did mine. I can control the
Low frequency, and the Bass from my headunit, which kicks **** bigtime.
You don't need a remote switch, to turn on anything. Everything will
power up when the key is turned on, and shuts off when it's turned off.
Hook it up just like you said, and it will work fine. Once you get it
hooked up, and hear it, just for grins, diconnect one of the sub wires,
and hear how bad your speakers sound. That little sub kicks ***! Can't
beat it for the $.

Pull the power connection out completely for 20 min... This should reset the system all together. Just make sure everything besides the power stays connected.

I had the same problem - had to 're-boot' the system to make it connect. See page 17 of the manual. You need to turn it off, hold the on/off button for 5 sec until you see ENTER, then hit enter - you should see CLEARING and CLEARED. Then you have re-set up the system. It was the only way I could connect the sub woofer.
