I cannot get the coffee maker to work. I cannot set the time - it just blinks OP2. I have pressed the program button, all the buttons - it will not work. This coffee maker is brand new, a gift - and I have not been able to use it. I got it last Christmas, and I have been saving it until I moved into my new house! Now that I am in my new house, I put it on the counter, plugged it in, and it will not work. I have tried and tried to set it - but it just keeps blinking OP2. help!

The grinder parts have to be in place and the lid closed or it will not work. The plastic cover to the grinder twists to the left which engages a small switch. Hope this helps!

The parts definitely must be in aligned, make sure the grinder cover the platic piece is aligned, you may need to twist it then place the top cover down the op2 will disappear and the time comes on then press on and it should work

Want to clean the grinder part of my built in miele coffee maker.

Very Carefully with the power plug pulled out of the wall.
If you do not have the manual, go on line and have customer service send you a detailed instruction manual or have a technician take you through the process.

Bitter taste

You will likely find the bitterness is a function of your coffee bean choice or the 'roast' component of that coffee. Darker roasts tend to taste bitter.

The grinder motor does not turn on when i start the coffee maker. how can i fix it?

Make sure you have the dial that sits on top of the filter basket turned to the open hole. Otherwise, it will not grind as it can not send the coffee grounds into the basket.

Long time for drip coffee.

Grinder is set to too fine. Lower grinder settings. Keeping the machine at current settings with drip extraction will result in brew group clogging, gear stripping, and/or dulling of grinder burrs.

Coffee maker beeping

Is your grinder in and the lid down? My coffee maker (grind & brew) started beeping after I cleaned it and turned the left knob clockwise with the grinder still disassembled. There's a little button that is depressed when you close the lid with the grinder in there (I'd guess it's a safety feature). I pressed down that button, and the beeping went away.
