"Dead" Remotes Can Be Saved

How to Re-Start Your "Dead" Remote Control

This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls. Good Luck!

-----------------------------

Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.

Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!

Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.

(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)

Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.

New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.

Step 5- Try the remote.

Special Note:

If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the unit.

If it works, Great!

If not, it's time to call 1-800-Remotes or use this website to order a new remote.

Lg3d 55la6200 Remote stopped working all new

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Be sure about the polarity of the battery when you insert it in its compartment. If any one among it gets reversed, the remote control won't work.

Remote or infra red sensor in tv

Many times remotes just need cleaning. Take it apart an if you feel a clear liquid under the keypads, clean it off an it will work. The silicone used on remotes ages an leaves a film that stops it from working

Remote quit working, batts new and no obstruction to IR signal?

A remote wears out far more faster than the device it controls (the sweat from your palms is highly corrosive). Nothing you can do, just buy a new one.

Remote control not working

Hi,
It could be either remote is bad or remote sensor located at tv front is not working.
You can test remote with help of any digital camera, watch remote front through camera and press few buttons on remote, you will see infra red led blinking at remote front, that means remote is good and working. Remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced by qualified tech.
If infra red led of remote does not blink pressing any button while watching through digital camera then problem is remote, buy new one to solve the issue.
Thanks.

Remote control dosnt work on this tv

I have the same plasma Pioneer tv. I also tried a replacement remote and no fix. I replaced the infrared receiver module (~$4 from Radio Shack) on the TV, yes it involved taking the tv apart. Voila, now I have two working remotes.
