Question about Dynex 32 in. LCD Flat-Panel HDTV
Usually that popping sound is a capacitor blowing up. There are 2 ways to fix this. 1) replace the cap by itself or 2) replace the whole board with the bad cap. If you are handy with electronics and a soldering iron, replacing a cap is pretty cheap. The hard part is finding one. The local Shack may have one but probably not. If you are not comfortable taking the TV apart, then you need to find a tech to service your TV. Most techs are going to replace the whole board.
