Question about Electrolux Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

On my stove all the red warning lights except one have fallen out of the fascia panel- just leaving a hole. The lights can be seen- still working- if you peer down the hole. But how to get them put back? Any answers?

Hello Catherine 763,

I understand that you are having a problem with you indicator lights. The lights have came out of the clips that hold them in place. In order to fix this problem you will have to go in to the control panel. Follow the directions below:

1. Unplug the unit and remove if from the wall as you will need to get into the rear of the unit.
2. Remove the upper rear panel where the lights and switches are
3. Locate the lights and replace them to holes that are closes
4. Put the rear panel cover back on
5. Plug the unit back in
6. Put the unit back in its resting place
7. Use the unit as usual

If you need to replace any of the holders or lights post the make and model number and I will try and locate the cheapest suppler of the items you need.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

you don't give enough information stove make model, etc. or even if the fascia could be removed; most if can are "glued" down or some other means. Go to an appliance parts place with your stoves information and ask them..

Element on indicator light for frigidaire electric stove fell out. How do I fix it?

I know what you are talking about. It is the little light on the panel and it comes on to warn you if the element on the top of the cooking stove is hot. There is a little plastic red piece that pushed in the hole. The light you see clamps onto it. You have to pull out the oven and remove the shiny metal back from the oven. Make sure you unplug or turn off your power to the oven. You will need to buy a new red plastic piece. It is called a light lens.

Stoves E2H600- lighting behind fascia panel has gone off so cannot now see what temperature settings are! How do you remove the fascia panel to access and replace defective lighting unit/s? Many thanks,...

A bit involved but quite straightforward.
Open the grill door and you will see 4 screws on the underside of the hob - remove the inner 2.
You can now hinge up the entire hob.
On each side of the hob is a trim piece with 2 screws which retain the glass front panel. Remove these and the end trims.
Carefully pull the timer buttons away from the fascia - the simply click into position.
The glass panel can now be tilted up and removed - it is pocketed at the top.
Each of the control knob assembly can then be easily pulled away from the controls.
The fluorescent tube is situated below the controls in a recess.
Rotate the tube through 90° and lift the tube out.
Refitting is the reverse of the above procedure.

I can't to find the area to replace the bulb. Everything works except for the light To eacy to leave on without the light. Where is the bulb located and what should I purchase to replace it. model #...

On the back of the heater stove, you will see a rectangular panel in the center, near the bottom of the stove. If you remove that (by removing the screws that hold it in place), you will have access to the small base, 60 watt. chandelier bulbs that you will need to replace. Be sure to turn the stove OFF and unplug it, before attempting to replace the bulbs.

Hope this helped you and Happy Easter!

Would like to switch off clock light, esp at night, or even permanently

Proceed at your own discretion, this will void your warranty. This worked with my Model 3 clock radio:

1)Remove the four corner screws on the back panel with a long phillips screwdriver.

    2) Do not remove the two other screws on the back panel.

3)Gently pull the front panel forward, sliding it out of the wooden case leaving the back panel in place. You can pull of the front panel just free of the case and lay it flat before the connected wires are taught.

4)Unplug the 7 wire harness leading to the back of the clock.

5)Separate the brown wire from between the black and red wires to make room to cut, or modify it.

6)The brown wire is the lead wire to the LED light on the clock. To permanently disable the light, cut the brown wire. Better yet, install a switch in line with the brown wire, which I have not attempted yet and is not covered in this fixya.

Good luck, I have always loved this radio except for the pesky light keeping me up at night.

We have a new maytag kitchen stove model merh865raw. We have had it about 2 weeks. Now the surface indicator light will not light up when in use.

If the indicator light you are referring to is the 'surface hot' light then either the element has failed or a connection to the element has fallen off.
If the indicator light you are referring to is the 'element on' light then either the corresponding control switch has failed or a connection to the switch has fallen off.
It may be possible the lamp has failed..although never have seen one fail yet.
