Remove mold on hardwood floor

Spray the oak floor with a 50% solution of white vinegar solution mixed with water and let stand for an hour, then clean with hot soapy water. Alternatively clean the floor with a steam mop, as either method will kill the mould on your floor.

Kitchenaid kbfs25ewms2 freezer leaking water

Normally I would agree a water line is the issue however on this particular fridge this is not the case. If you open the freezer door, notice the placement of your hand. Unless it is dead center of the handle this is the cause of the problem and what I believe is a major design flaw. Depending if left or right handed, every time the door is opened the metal tracks that hold the door are being bent. If you remove the bottom freezer basket you will notice the back support bar that is attached to the metal rails is not longer straight. What ends up happening is, certain times when the door is pushed closed it seals completely and other times it does not. The times it does not, there is inch gap between the rubber seal on the door and the fridge itself(left or right side). The freezer warms up and items start to melt. As the cycle of freeze and thaw continues you end up with the entire basin full of ice. Eventually when the door does not shut properly and the ice melts it has nowhere to go expect your floor. This is why sometime you will have a pool of water and sometimes you won't but it always leak from a corner. Learned this first hand and ending up ruining 30sq of hardwood floor

Leaking under left side. water lines ok. too close to ground to see where water is. hardwood kitchen floor is buckled. ice maker is putting out too much ice and falling out onto shelf. what do i need to...

It sounds like the water tray for the defrost mode is full, you need to check if the tray has moved or maybe the door rubber are not sealing and this will cause extra ice built-up, and will cause the leak.

Water is leaking from the front of the refrigerator freezer side onto hardwood floors it looks like it is comming from the back what would be the cause

Either the drain line is clogged and the condensation cannot drain to the pan to evaporate, or the door seal is not sealing properly allowing to much air (with humidity) into the unit creating to much condensation and overflowing the pan.

First locate the drain hole and line and make sure they are clean and clear. If you poor an 8 oz glass of water through it, it should drain out to the pan if it is clear.

If you find no clog inspect the door seals for cuts tears or any place that is not sealing properly.

My dishwasher won't drain, and leaked out onto my hardwood floor!

I ordered a new hose and the problem is fixed! I probably could have just simply taken the old hose off and flushed it out; but the powdered solution, that is supposed to dissolve, had solidified and clogged the hose in several places. Strangely, it had also made like a filmy flap at both openings. Gross!

Sub-Zero 550 water dripping on right side of freezer forming ice on draw

I had a similar issue that started about a year ago with my Sub-Zero 550. My freezer gasket actually tore after several times of freezing closed. I thought that a new gasket would solve it, but a second but related problem developed where I was getting alot of condensation under the left side of the unit, with the water dripping onto the floor...eventually staining the hardwood floor in front of the unit.

I traced the problem to a clogged condensation drain pipe in the refrigerator. It is a corrugated pipe that drains a trough behind the crisper drawers. My pipe was clogged with black sludge and frozen down below. The condensation in the fridge would overflow out of the trough and leak below the crisper drawers, down out through the gasket.

To resolve, I used a piece of solid thin wire folded in half and twisted with a small loop at the end to fish out as much sludge as I could. Then squirted hot water into the pipe until it totally unclogged. I believe this will solve the problem without any need for a heater underneath the unit. The 550 worked fine for 4-5 years before this happened.
