Question about HP Laserjet CM 1312NFI Color Printer

Hi. My HP Color LaserJet CM 1312nfi will not print or copy in colour, only black & white. I have already tried a firmware upgrade and a hard reset. Any other suggestions? Your help is much appreciated. Thank you!

    thanks for your suggestions; however, I have already tried that.

    This unit is a color photocopier, however, it will not copy in color so the problem is in the unit itself and not within the printer properties on the computer.

    Re-installing the printer will not help.

Hi

I suggest you to printer preferences or properties and choose the correct setting there like uncheck the GRAYSCALE to print in color.

Go to printer icon, right click mouse and choose either printing preferences or properties.

If not, there is also option in the printer preferences to choose RESTORE DEFAULT SETTING.

If still not solve, set up once more the printer and print the test page.

    Please try this solution.

    Remove the USB cable into the printer and leave the printer on.
    Remove all the cartridges.
    Close the cartridge door and wait for the INSERT INK MESSAGE to appear.
    Disconnect the power cable and from the power source supply. Wait for a couple of minutes.
    Reconnect power cord and turn on the printer.
    Return all the ink cartridges and close the door. Wait for the calibration process.
    Print the test page to check if it working.
    Reconnect the USB cable and try to print again.

I owned HP CM1312 mfp. I have problem with color prints. No any color is printed except black. I changed dc controller but the problem remains... Could you please help?


I hope you did calibration..The Flat cable from laser scanner assm to DC controller is very short & narrow, while connecting it to DC board little bit it will come out at scanner assm PCB, remove upper portion up to laser scanner assm refix flat cable both ends of DC & laser pcb. fix all back & try.. Hp color laserjet cm1312 won't boot up. It tries to, there is a menu bar that tries to progress on the screen, but then stops. Help!!

Have you tried reinstalling the firmware for the printer. If it is already loaded on your computer then you should be able to reinstall the firmware in order to get it booted.

you need to update your printer's firmware. please download the firmware from www.hp.com and run in when the printer is conected to the pc

It sounds like you downloaded the PCL Universal Driver. Try the full solution driver or the PostScript Universal Driver. Both allow color prints.

Poor black print quality - printing is light and faded - toner is over half full - any ideas to make it print darker?


Hi... When you are going to print, do visit the properties of the printer first. Make sure you have the 'print in grayscale' off. Hope this helps...
