Our maytag crg9u00aaw gas oven does not heat to proper temp. Under 525 degrees it says it is at temp, but in reality it is only 160 to 250 degrees. If set to above 525, it says it never reaches temp and will keep heating well above set point. Just replaced thermostat, no effect. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Maytag electric oven regulates only to 250 degrees

If you used a meter for the test it could well be faulty , best to test it under load , I use a battery powered trouble light , safer than mains power .

Maytag oven gas flow cuts in and out

probably a weak ignitor, even though they look like they are orange in color they may be weak and not passing enough current to keep the gas valve fully open to supply enough gas to properly heat the unit to temps, replace this part,a good test is to try the broiler,if this works ok then its for sure the bake ignitor

I have just installed a Maytag built-in double oven to replace my old one (still working.) I shut off circuit breaker and reconnected wiring. The Control Panel and indicators on the digital readout all...

How many active terminals are there at the main terminal block in the new oven. Is this a single or 2 phase supply. Have you connected the active supply to all active terminals. If only half of the oven is working it sounds like it could be a problem at the terminal block. If so, you need to put a loop or bridge wire to the 2nd active terminal.
If all this was done correctly when connected the only other thing it could be is the electronic clock needs to be set to manual mode for the oven to work correctly.

I have a frigidaire stove that heats to 50 degrees hotter than the know setting. Can it be adjusted to read correctly?

There is a calibration method to adjust the oven thermostat plus/minus 35 degrees if it is a digital display. The method varies depending on the model range. This calibration method is used to adjust the thermostat if it is not keeping proper tempature. For example if you are setting the oven to 350 and the actual temp it is keeping is 325 then you could use the calibration method to adjust it plus 25 degrees to correct the temp. Just so you know electric ovens will keep a pretty even temp but gas ovens will vary by 40 or more degrees to keep an "average" temp. For example the burner will come on when the oven is 330 degrees and turn off at 370. 330+370 then divide by 2=350. So a oven thermometer may not show you the temp you set it at in a gas oven but does not mean the oven temp is off.

Amana oven doesn't heat

IS it gas or electric? If it's gas, you may need to have a technician regulate the air and gas. If it's electric your t-stat may need to be replaced. Hope this helps! :>)!

Maytag gas oven cycles every 20 seconds

yes it is normal . but i know your not the first to think its not , todays ovens are so tight , it only takes 10 seconds of heat to keep them at proper temp . it used to be that ovens where kept at a 3 degree sweep that is set at 350 turn on and up to 353 then off ,cool down to 350 and back on . this was a longer time off and a longer time on topday we keep to 1 degree ! 350 on to 351 off to 350 on and so on ....... so short berst of heat make for a more even oven ........ but i know i hate it too ! good luck

My oven won't heat to temp properly...

All the ovens should be checked out at the factory. With that said it sounds like the thermocouple is bad or not installed correctly.
