Question about Roper Dryers
Hello, W/D here.
When you turn the dryer on, listen for the sound of the motor running. If you an hear the motor, the belt is probably broken.
Disconnect the power, and open the back. If the belt is broken, it should be obvious. Get a replacement belt from your local appliance parts store. Place the belt on the drum (you should be able to see where the old belt was running on the drum). Place it on the motor pulley. Lift the tensioner pulley past the belt, and slowly bring it back to the belt, placing it in tension. Roll the drum several turns by hand to get everything in alignment, and close the back up.
Best regards, --W/D--
