Question about KitchenAid Dryers
Hello, W/D here.
Unplug the dryer first! Place the belt on the drum, then the motor pulley. Raise the tensioning pulley past the belt, and let it come to rest on the belt, placing it in tension. Roll the drum over several times by hand to align the belt on the drum, and close it back up.

Dryer belt. This is the most common belt used on Whirlpool, AMANA Kenmore, Kitchenaid, Roper, Estate and other dryer brands. The belt is flat, 92-1/4 inches long, 1/4 inch wide and has 4 ribs and 3 grooves. It replaces many other belts, including some with 5 ribs and 4 grooves.
See our dryer belt diagram to see how this belt should be installed around the motor and idler pulleys.
