Hi this is a bad blower motor these can be quite expensive and a little challenging to put in, i believe the motor can be around $150-200.00 to buy. The blower motor is located under the drum.

Amana NED7200TW dryer. Has heat, tumbles, clothes don't dry. Vents have been gone through and cleaned. This happens in the sensor dry and time dry modes. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Just a question. Does your blower work. If your blower does not work it won't dry. Check blower belt. Mine broke and had no air blowing. Just a thought.

I have a Kenmore Dryer (Model 970-C87022-00), there is heat, however it does not dry the clothes. They actually feel wetter.

Hello,

The most typical reason a dryer will heat yet not dry the clothes is going a blocked.restricted or crushed vent. Check the venting from the back of the dryer all the way outside and make sure its blowing good air pressure all the way through it,Also check inside of the dryer at the housing where the blower wheel is for lint build up.

My kenmore electric clothes dryer model #110.86984110 shuts down in the middle of a cycle. After a while I can restart it and will run for a little while longer.

when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer, could have a blocked vent line, blocked blower wheel duct where the filter slides into and vac out the inside of dryer,go outside and make sure the air is blowing the flapper fully open, might have to blow the line out with a leaf blower,if the heat can't escape the dryer over heats and shuts down, could have a bad timer, thermostat, or you also could have a bad motor that would also heat up and shut down if it's bad, but try the clean out first and go from there, good luck

My dyer heats and tumbles, but doesn't dry

I'd check first for clogged vent hose or clogged lint filter or clogged vent flap on wall (outside).

If that's not a problem, it may be a faulty thermostat. Heating element is probably okay if it heats some of the time.

More info, let me know.

Gas dryer does not seem to heat up takes a long time to dry clothes.

Sometimes blower wheels will get loose in dryers. Sometimes they will get a whole lump of lint in them or you can hear a rattling noise in the dryer, this is the blower wheel, its worn out and it can cause the fuse to blow too,or it can half *** work and take fifty forever's to dry the clothes.Or it could be just that the dryer needs a good blowing out .I use a lawn blower to get all the lint out of the dryer as well as the vent pipe and vent to outside. I take the filter HOUSING out and wash it also. That is, I remove the housing and clean is good! Making sure that the dryer is properly flowing air is a good thing!

Dryer not drying after 2 or 3 cycles

I would say so if the blower is not blowing then the hot air is not moving through the clothing as well and the lint would build up if you go outside and check the outlet vent and your not feeling any air then its not blowing. also if it is an older dryer make sure that the vent is not blocked my mother lives in the country and on windy days she has to go through at least 2 cycles to get them dry because tthe wind blows the vent shut... she has a brand new maytag dryer. good luck

Dryer blowing & rolling but no heat

There should be a little white plug on the front of the dryer. (lower left) Take that out and start the dryer. IF your ignitor is working you will be able to see it turn red through the whole. If you dont change the ignitor. then it will light the burner.
