Hi this is the drain tube sucking water back up through, this is caused by the vacuum inside the refrigerator that is formed when the air condenses, not much you can do about this sound its fairly normal.

The refrigerator lights do not come on when the door is open but the bulbs are fine. The fan does come on. What can I check to find the problem?

Sub-Zero units have a light and fan switch for each compartment... Check for continuity of the light switch when it is pressed and if it tests good, make sure the contacts in the bulb socket are making contact with the bulb... Be sure not to mix-up the light and fan switches as they operate opposite of each other...

Sub zero refrigerators 632 door won't stay closed

Hi,

This model doesn't have a standard closure system for the doors, It contains a bar and string system under the doors, some parts may not be available currently but parts could be swapped from one side to the other, I have done it and it works. So you will need to inspect all parts to the door including bushing, gaskets and make sure the unit is square to the floor cause this will cause to door to pop open after closing it. Call Subzero for parts directly to fix this issue at 1-800-350-2676. They can and will point you in the correct dealer for you to get the correct parts you seek. Good luck.

Ice making for sub zero 48

The sub zero should make ice soon after being installed. If there is ice around the door frame of the freezer there may be a problem with the door frame heaters. There should not be ice around the door frame.

I have a 642/0 side by side sub zero. Although

Has the ambient temp around the unit been going up? Depending on what refrigerant you have here the pressure temp relationship will change in the system, also when you add foodstuff, and again when you open the door.

Subzero 550 Gurgling whenever door closes

Personally it does not bother me that much on mine. But since you asked, there is drain line that runs into the drip tray underneath. The line should not have any bends in it to form a P-trap which will hold enough water in to form a seal, so when the door closes and the pressures equal you have a gurgling sound. If it really bothers youtry these steps, remove the kick plate by removing the two phillips head screws on either side. The drip pan is suspended in the middle of the support and will probably have water in the drip pan so put a towel down before you start. Once off shine a light to see if the tube has a bend in it. Depending on when it was made there may be a clamp that hold the drain tube in place. Carefully pull the hose past that clamp to remove sag and eliminate the bend which forms the P-trap. You have to be careful as the hose maybe brittle and come apart. So if you pull to hard you may wind up replacing that line which requires pulling the unit at considerable cost. There is a check valve that can be ordered but was only used for a short time. The inline check valve was a part number 4202130. If it bothers you too much and don't want to try the fix here is the Sub Zero locator page for parts and service. http://www.subzero.com/locator/locator.aspx?type=0&zip=02030

Sub-zero Refrigerator Door

song to me door gasket was not properly installed, We using electric steamers to make rubber softer and good sticking. Right after door seal was replaced. Also, it could be that: a bottom door hinge parts broken /little white plastic cams damaged/,or, fridge not leveled or too heavy load on door shelfs.

you could try taking the fan assembly out and adjusting it or oiling it, sometimes it gets that back pressure when the door is closed because it has to work harder
