Question about Roper RTW4300SQ Top Load Washer
There is a pocket on the side of the drum which is designed to trap air, this air pressure
in turn operates a switch to shut off the fill valve. It has a clear hose running to it and
sometimes lint will get caught in the line at the drum connection. You can open the
top control panel (usually the two screws at the base of the panel) and the panel
will hinge up. Make sure you unplug machine before servicing. The switch will be
obvious as it has one clear line and two connections on it, It is round. Remove the line
and blow into it to be sure that any lint clogging this line is cleared. Reattach and test if
you cleared a clog. If the line is clear then I would replace the switch. model is under the lid
One other possibility is that the fill valve stuck open, but I have never
seen this happen in 10 years servicing top loaders and stacks. Hope this helps. :)
