programming is not in the 5881. it goes in the v20. If you are replacing the v20 you will have to reprogram the system

Zones are not programmed into receiver(5881). They are programmed into V20 panel. You will have to reprogram zones.

I need to replace my Honeywell ademco keypad M6674 Rev A. I have a vista 10 control panel. What model do I replace it with?

I am not familiar with this keypad, but if it were me, I would look to upgrade the control panel to a Vista 20P, although it's a bit involved...which keypad to use as a replacement depends on whether the current unit is wired or wireless. For wired, a 6150 or 6160 is appropriate, wireless perhaps a 5828 would be might get a better answer by contacting Honeywell directly.

There is no battery in the Honeywell 6160 keypad. It is powered by the transformer in the control panel. If it is showing BAT on the keypad, check the main system battery in the control panel.

System lo bat

Most likely it's your back up battery. It should be with the panel in a metal box. If you have a wireless system the zone number will pop up on the screen at the same time the "lo bat" does.

My key pad is displaying not ready chime only

Not Ready means one or more of your zones is faulted. Pressing the * key on the keypad will display the zone or zones that are faulted. A faulted zone can be a door or window open, a motion detector "seeing" movement, and so on. It will also display a description of the zone. Chime means the chime feature on the keypad has been enabled. Any perimeter or entry/exit zone that faults will cause the keypad to ding three times. This can be turned off by entering your 4 digit code and pressing the 9 key. Doing so again will turn it back on. The link below is for the user manual for an Ademco Vista 20P panel.

Hope this helps.

I just plugged in my vista 20p for the first time and the ademco 6160 keypad I am using to program says open ckt. I have several wireless modules throught the house and have checked each one and still open...

This could be caused by a mis-wired zone on the control panel. If there are any unused hardwire zones on the panel, and/or if the bell circuit is unused, a resistor ( info in installation guide ) must be used across the terminals or you will get an open circuit message. If you can't see it straight away, have your local alarm company check your system and they can find this fault for you quite easily.

How do I add a code to my honeywell keypad 6160 for my pet sitter to use

Codes are programmed into your control panel, not your keypad(s). The 6160 keypad can be used on many different control panels, and how to program codes is different for each. First find your control panel in a beige metal cabinet and look at the model number. Then use your favorite search engine with the phrase "Ademco [control panel model number] user manual".
