They are not light weight but there is no reason if the motor can raise it, then you cannot raise it by hand.

Does the door opener have a cord that hangs down on it with a plastic hand grip on the end of it?
This cord when pulled down puts the door opener in a disengaged manual mode if someone has pulled on the cord.
The symptoms you are presenting could occur if you have one of these cords on your door opener has somehow had someone pulled on it.
From the user manual of your door opened you need to pull on this cord to release the plastic hand grip from the bracket so it will move up to put the door in engaged mode.
see page 47 of the pdf version of

Have a different door opening but had exact same experience of moving in and someone pulled on the cord and then I had to look up the user manual to figure how to put it back in engaged mode.

I disengaged my garage door manually and now I don't know how to connect it back.

You have to have the latch that has the cord hanging from it in contact with the carriage that runs back and forth on the main rail hanging from the ceiling. You can do this two ways. It will be much easier if you have someone to help you. You can raise the door all the way up by hand and when the latch gets to the carriage, pull down on the cord again and push the door the rest of the way up. It should click into place. The other way is to run the carriage to the end closest to the door opening and trip the breaker that the door is on in your breaker box. You wouldn't have to raise the door as far this way. Still, pull on the cord that disengages the automatic opener and raise the door until it clicks into place.

Craftsmen garage door opener 139.53919 door spring split in two and garage door will not open

Have someone out to fix the spring.
DON"T fix it yourself. These things are very dangerous and can cut off fingers or worse. Just Google replacing garage door springs to read up and the danger replacing these can be.
Have someone who know what they are doing fix it.

How do I disconnect my opener and manually open my garage door?

Check up by the motor. There should be a latch you can pull down that will disengage the chain from the door. After that, just pull the door up or down as needed.

1/2 hp craftsman garage door opener won't open when cold

I called Sears garage door customer service number due to the same issue. The test is to disengage the opener drive by pulling the emergency disengage handle, then open the door half way manually and then let it go. If it stays there it is a door/track/lub problem; if it drops down and closes its a garage door opener problem. Mine stayed open half way during this test so it was a door/track/lub problem. After using silicone spray on all tracks, rollers, and springs mine has been working great. Good luck.........
