Good Day, hectic 411;

Most TV's have a display button on the remote, try pushing said button. Try resetting TV or cabl;e/sat box for 3 to 5 minutes.
To reset unplug the device from the wall ac outlet, like rebooting your frozen computer.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Yamaha rx-v2500 receiver how to hook up speakers

HI,

Follow these steps to connect a powered sub woofer to your receiver: You typically have two options when connecting a powered sub woofer. Input (1) on the rear of the sub woofer would be used when connecting the sub woofer to the receiver using speaker wires. You would then connect the main speakers to the opposite end, or output or the sub woofer to the main speakers. Option (2) would be using RCA line level output jacks, input (2) on the rear panel of the sub woofer directly to the single sub woofer output on the back of an AV receiver. blank.gif

Dynex 32" tv cant get regular channels,

How is your TV setup--do you have a cable box, satellite, or basic cable? I would recommend going into the settings and running a channel search.

Press Menu. The on-screen display menu options with Setup highlighted.
Press RIGHT arrow to enter the sub-menu, then press DOWN or UP to highlight AUTO CH SEARCH.
Press ENTER or RIGHT arrow to start the search.

To play videogames on an old tv PLEASE HELP

You'll need to switch the TV into Video mode. Most TV sets will have a button on the front panel labelled "input" or "tv/video," and pressing this button will cycle through the various inputs your TV has.

Alternatively, this button may be located on your remote control.

Rarely, no button exists, and video input is selected by changing the channel below channel 2; as if you were trying to select channel 1. This will select the video input on sets without a separate input selector button.

We can not get out 2 way radios to communicate with each other. We have checked to see that all settings are the same and we still cant figure it out.

I am sure you the radio's both set on the same channel. But what about the sub-channels? Are those the same? On the screen, the large number is your channel. The smaller number below it is the sub-channel. They should match. If you've already done this and the radios still will not communicate with each other, then find someone locally (that is fluent on radios) to look them.
Otherwise, return them.
Not sure this helps you short of having more information. Please let me know.
Good luck.

I cant program any channels on my tv. Toshiba 42'' plasma. Do i need the remote or can i do it directly from the tv?

Which specific model from Toshiba do you have? There are several 42" TVs released with the Regza name. Most of the manuals can be found on the Toshiba support web site. http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/customersupport/

The one that I have allows for the channels to be set from the On-Screen Menu. In the TV mode, press Menu (there is a Menu button on the side of the TV). Navigate with the arrow keys (CH+, CH-, Vol+, Vol-) to the Setup menu and highlight Installation and press Enter (the Menu button is also the Enter key when using the buttons on the TV). Then highlight Channel Program and then Start and press Enter. When the search is done, press Ch+ or Ch- to view a station. To add or delete channels, use the Channel Add/Delete that is one line below Channel Program. Use the enter key to change the check mark status next to a channel. If adding a digital sub-channel not previously found, enter the number manually on the remote using the 100 key to add the dash. If the channel isn't found, an error message will result.

I hope this helps.

How can i bridge a mtx 9500 using a mono amp?

You cant bridge it to the MONO AMP . You can only bridge subs & speakers to 2 CH & 4 CH AMPS that are bridgeable. Because if it appears that there is 2 channels on a Mono amp its so its convenient for you to hook up 2 4ohm subs to it easily But both channels are actually connect internally together in parallel inside the amp unlike a 2 channel they are separate.

So just connect your mtx 9500 to a plus and a minus and doesnt matter which since all the + terminals of are connected together and - are connected together already.

Whats important is on the side of the sub/box it reads 2 ohms. The lower the ohms the more power the Mono amp will put out. Mono amps are designed to handle 2ohm loads.

If it reads 4ohms The MONO amp is the wrong amp to use cause the power will be weaker. So if you have a 1000 Watt Mono amp at 4ohms the sub will only get 500 WATTS Max while a 2 ohm will get the full 1000 Watts.

If it reads 4 ohms connect it to a 2CHANNEL AMP and BRIDGE IT (connect + of the sub to 1st channels positive of the amp then connect - of the sub to 2nd channels negative of the amp) . The power will be doubled when you bridge it on a 2 channel amp. NOW if it was a 2 ohm sub and you bridged it to the 2 channel amp it will fry the subs and ruin the amp. 2 CHANNELS CANT TAKE A 2OHM LOAD BRIDGED OK.

Samsung tellys top level menus should have a choice of four or five sub-menus.

The one you want is that represented by a picture of a satelite dish / antenna. Dont worry if you dont get your TV via satelite, this is just the symbol they use to denote the tuning options.

Down arrow to the satelite dish sub-option and select enter. This should then give you several more options, one of which is Tuning, Select this and then select Auto Tune, then press enter and the set will completely retune itself.

If youre asking this as a result of yesterday's Freeview retune, then you may well end up with some "dummy" channels - i.e. they either have nothing at all displayed or a message telling you the channel has moved - or some of the channels have an incorrect name. I'm hoping that now the retune has happened, in the near future these dummys or errors will be fixed.
Some Samsung TV's dont have a "tuning" sub-menu but "Channel(s)". Selecting this will then give the Auto Tune option.

Is it a good idea

Hi,

Based on your description and on the idea of a single amp, then your plan of hooking up both the subwoofers in series (to get 8 ohms) would be the safest as against running the subs in parallel (2 ohms). This way the sub amp would not be overly loaded, you can compensate the slight loss in power by strategically positioning the 2 subs. A friendly reminder, pls observe polarity when hooking the sub speakers.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
