If you have the remote that came with the recorder,there should be a speed button on the remote for changing.All of them do.If that button is not on there,maybe it is not an option anymore.It could be labeled SP or something like that.If you do not see either one,you will have to either play with the buttons during a practice recording,or contact Toshiba to find out.Anyhow with our recorder,when we do record at lower speeds,it comes out pretty bad.The picture jumps like in the old days when you had to vertical adjust.I searched the internet and Toshiba's website and could not even find your model there on a search for a manual.If you run out of options/ideas,you can at least call them to find out.Here is the link.Good luck!Greg
