Question about LG Dryers
Welcome to FixYa.
It could be a number of things so the problem will need to be narrowed down. The place I will start is as follows, have you checked the hi-limit thermostat ?
On the LG dryers there is a "reset" for the heating element/burner funnel on the right hand side of the funnel, however they also incorporate a no reset "hi-limit thermostat" on the left side of the funnel. Once it is tripped it must be replaced. This is only present on the gas dryers.
It is located on the left side as I mentioned, but the other is on the right side of the heater housing/burner funnel and will resemble the images shown below. It is part number 6931EL3004B ( the reset typr is part # 6931EL3003C ) and available at "searspartsdirect" or "repairclinic.com" to name a couple.
With the aid of an ohm meter you can check the non-reset for continuity, the other you should be able to push the center reset button ( listen closely for a "click" ) but it too can be ohmed out for continuity to confirm or dismiss it's condition.
Hope that help`s move you forward if nothing else. If so please take a second and rate the guidance and a testimony to your inquiry you received here at FixYa, either or all is appreciated.
Let me know if you can provide any further info and I'll continue to help in any manner I can. Good luck
