SOURCE: Frigidaire Dryer takes too long to dry.

First thing I would do is to take the drum out of the dryer and make sure the back is not all clogged up with lint. That is a very common problem with Frigdaire dryers. The back is where the dryer draws the heat from and it sounds like you have plenty of heat. The only place the heat will go is up and that may be why you are geting burn marks. I wold also clean out the front where the lit filter is that to gets blocked up. I think if you check all that ad clean it out good the dryer should work just fine.

SOURCE: Moisture in dryer

you have a clogged vent, somehow your vent has become clogged either with in the hose, or where it exits the house, the moisture being removed from the wet clothes is not leaving the unit. CHECK YOUR VENTING POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD!!!!!

SOURCE: my dryer gets hot but takes forever to dry clothes

Hi, Welcome. Here is your problem.

Two heat temp sensors in dryer. One tells heating element to turn off & on Like your house thermostat but it is set & not adjustable. (More than likely the one going out.) The other is temp Overload to prevent dryer from catching fire. It is recommended that you replace these as pairs.

If the clothes are hot when they come out but moist or damp it mean the moisture is not getting vented, Check your vent pipe for blockages or leaks.

I just bought a frigidaire affinity dryer and it takes forever to dry things. Some of my loads of clothes/towels have needed more drying time and forget bedspreads. I keep drying them over and over again...

Check the exhaust and make sure the exhaust hose on the back is not pushed back so far that it is closed off and also make sure that there are not a lot of turns in the exhaust hose. This will add time to a drying cycle like you would not believe.

you have a family of squirrels living in the rest of the vent tube which is leading outside...check vent outside. I once had flying squirrels come into my house through the dryer vent! My dog had a kitten.
