The aluminum collars are PROBABLY safety stops to prevent the other clamps from slipping down too far if they work loose. I would expect they go on the vertical tubes aboove the X clamps.

The wrench to adjust the Fender Jazzbass (Mexico) neck does not seem to be allen

it doesn't I think it is stripped if you have tried metric and S.A.E wrenches and nothing works this could be the case and it has stripped but try to look into the opening at the top of the nut with a flashlight if you can see the flats for an allen wrench then it might be still good but a weird size like 4.5mm ex. are you the original owner if not you could have a problem here but you might be able to get the nut out and put a new one in post back I want to check for the wrench size

Ground issues

Rule #1: All interconnected devices... amps, speakers, etc... SHALL be powered from a single receptacle OR power conditioning module.
Rule #2: All interconnecting audio cables SHALL be balanced, either XLR or TRS.

Rule #1 means running extension cord for power alongside a snake for instance.

Input jack fell inside

Yes, the jack MAY actually be broken. It will need to be serviced. Run cables through the handle to avoid plugs from being yanked sideways and breaking the jacks.

This board is used primarily for church services but it is also accessed by school and students. So there are a lot of hand in the pot, so to speak. We have 5 musical instruments, 3 mics, 3 handheld...

Make sure that ALL and I do mean ALL interconnected devices are powered from the same receptacle or power conditioner. Sometime unknowing people power their mixer from building power at one place and amplifiers, etc from near the stage... this is ASKING for ground bounce damage to the equipment. If necessary, run extension from where the amps are powered (again from a single receptacle) back to the mixer and other equipment. Usebalanced interconnect lines for all your audio cables... either XLR or TRS cables.

Behringer's Ultrabass BXL3000 - problem with the DI out, which I think it a loose wire. How do I get into it to find out?

You will PROBABLY find the 4 screws on the sides that screw into the chassis and then get frustrated that it will not come out... MANY of the Behringer things HIDE the other screws as the ones holding the handle... The trick is to get at them... The plastic end covers over the handle have ridges that snap under a metal plate that is over the handle. Carefully pry out the plastic near the handle to release these ridges... pry SIDEWAYS a bit... The ridges snap into small cutouts in the metal... what a pain these are. Use a small 1/4 inch screwdriver with blade vertical right where the handle comes out to bend the plastic outward... Dont reach in very far as the blade will catch the metal... just far enough to catch the plastic cover edge... it is scary. The two handle screws usually go into nut-plates that are a part of the amp chassis.

The DI consists of two sections of an op amp and is truly driven differentally. There usually is a couple of 120 ohm series resistors and a couple of hf bypass caps near the connectors

How to lower the action on a b.c.rich warlock bronze series

To fix the action on your B.C.Rich Warlock, you need an Allen Wrench, or Hex key. There is a truss rod cover on your B.C.Rich's headstock. Just open it using a screwdriver and you will find the truss rod. Then adjust the action using the hex key.

I need to know how to adjust my truss bar on my washburn d10 to make the string action bigger

Actually you can do this by adding shims under the saddle to raise the action. Then use the truss rod to make the action uniform if necessary. I try to avoid making adjustments to the neck because it could lead to undesirable perminent alteration to the neck. If you do make adjustments to the truss rod you should tune the guitar to pitch and let it sit left alone overnight to allow the wood time to adjust to the new adjustments.
