Question about Toshiba 50HP66 50 in. Plasma Television
Hi, It sounds like you have an electrolytic capacitor that blew up( can be a bit noisy ) it'll more than likely be in the power supply section somewhere-it's not totally dead hence the blinking light ( which is a fault indication ) The bad component should be visible by possible signs of swelling on the top,( silver colored) a rubber seal on bottom being pushed down around the two metal leads near the circuit board , or even some brown discoloration around the faulty component/s,( it does not have to be a capacitor) I have heard integrated circuits pop before ( they will almost always leave a smoke stain near where it occurred ) also there may actually be a small hole in the faulty part. I hope this helps, Make sure unit is unplugged before servicing, good luck, Prodzilla
