I have the sme problem, but my PC is PCV-VG100.

My keyboard started malfunctioning by going into outlook whenever I typed certain letters. Then it would not type any letters at all. I tried installing new batteries and re-booting the wireless connection buttons on the PC and wireless keyboard. Still no luck in being able to use the keyboard.

I also tried changing the batteries and hitting the connect button but nothing seems to work!

As of this morning, Feb 18, 2009, my PCV-V300G's keyboard is doing the EXACT same thing. Keys don't send anything and Outlook starts up and "help and support" window opens. Replaced batteries, took apart keyboard and blew it out, reinstalled original drivers...nothing is working.

Press the CONNECT buttons located on the left panel of the computer and then press the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard, to establish communication.

It's a wireless keyboard so there is no usb connection. I actually went out and bought a usb type keyboard and it still wont work because without a keyboard it is impossible to login and start up windows.

May be its connectivity issue. The key board may not be connected to desktop properly or usb connection is damaged?

Assuming that both computers are PCs, you should not need any drivers to plug in a keyboard.

After I had installed Norton Anti-Virus, my Sony PCVA-KB/G didn't work anymore. Is there a connection between them? CB

Quite likely.. A lot of my clients have tons of trouble with this damned Norton... I simply hate it now... I get so many problems caused by it that I simply rip it off and use ANYTHING else... But in saying that... Umm.. well.... Symantec (Norton) Corporate Antivirus is simply marvelous... Go Figure... This is what I usually replace it with. But there are other AV's that work well.

I can't connect to my computer with my wireless keyboard

There is actually a CONNECT button on the bottom of the radio frequency receiver (a circular or rectangular box connected to the pc with usb cable) .

First, you must have the keyboard within 11 inches of the radio frequency receiver; the next step has two parts and must be done wihtin 10 seconds of each other. Press the CONNECT button on the radio frequency receiver first, now press the CONNECT button on the keyboard (should be on the top right - look underneath if its not on the front)

Communication should now be established.

Install memory upgrade to Sony PCV V210P

Its very simple. You will find the DIMM slots(where you install the RAM) on the motherboard. Just plug the memory into the slot and use the latches on either side of the latch to lock it in place.
This is what a DIMM slot looks like.

If it got damaged ..simply pick up a replacement one at any electronics supply stores.. Best Buy, Comp USA, Targets and Wallmart all carry keyboards.. it should be a plug and play process ( meaning; unplug th eold, plug in the new) restart computer... It is NOT worth trying to repair since many keyboards are very inepensive..
