There are a few different options available.
You can purchase a new hard drive to install inside the notebook, or you could purchase an external hard drive and move documents, music, movies, etc to it from the notebook. Purchasing a new hard drive for the laptop may entail reinstalling your OS then reinstalling all of your programs. This can be a long and tedious task.

When you say the notebook has 6495MB, do you mean it has 6495MB of free space? Have you tried running disk cleanup and defragmenting the hard drive? Those two maintenance tasks may free a lot of space. 6.3GB is not what I would consider low disk though.

This is the specification of the SS hard disk this laptop uses.

The X360 also features the option of an ultra-fast and reliable 128GB Solid State Drive (SSD)*, which significantly enhances performance compared to a typical hard disk drive (HDD), with a boot time that is 25-50 percent faster and data access times that are 300 percent faster (53 MB/s) for reading and 150 percent faster (28 MB/s) for writing.

My computer atellite l655-s5097 and is freezing all the time, I seng to warranty but they told that because i send one time in latin america toshiba support they cant change. I bouth this computer for the...

its your hard drive that is freezing .It could be going bad due to viruses or filled up with so much data. could be hardware going out like your dvd burner because it cannot read the data and it overworks itself.Do this go to start then all programs then accessories then system tools then go to system information and take a look at your total physical memory which by what you say should be 4 gb's or 4096 mb's then the next 1 down in available physical memory you should have plenty maybe 2.5 or 3 gigs. make sure you do have total memory of 4 gigs 1st. because a lack of memory on a newer laptop like this will cause this same problem.then when you start up your laptop go into system setup and look for hard drive diagnostics and run it. this will take almost an hour but it will tell you if your hard drive is having problems. you can also even go as far as removing your dvd-rw rom to eliminate that hardware issue. then restart your laptop and keep pushing f8 to bring up your safemode screen. go into safemode because it allows only a minimal amount or drivers and software to run meaning less memory and less because your will only have vga graphics mode meaning big letters. then check for viruses, adware and malware because they also can cause this problem. Well good luck I hope this helps you track down your problem. Hard drive problems im still thinking

I am trying to replace my HD in my Acer aspire 5520 from 160GB (Hitachi of 5400 rpm and 8 MB) to 500GB (Hitachi of 7200 rpm and 16 MB). Acer sent the recovery cd. I used an enclosure hard drive to format...

first ..Im not sure I understood how you installed windows on the new Hdd..but I sow that you didn't do it in the laptop ..
the correct way is to see if the laptop is seeing the Hdd..and to install the windows directly on the hard disk installed into the laptop ...by using boot-able installation disk with the operation system ..Cause if you install it on another device ..or other way ..it will not recognize the devices present on the laptop ..and most likely to give you a blue screen ..and errors like the one you just got ..
Another thing ..you have to go to bios settings ..advanced st-up ..most likely ..and see the Hdd in there ..and on its settings to disable the AHCI function ..cause if you do not have a disk with sata drivers ..the laptop with the AHci function enabled will not see the hard disk ..and this is the error and what it means ...basically it didnt found the boot device ..cause of this function probably enabled in bios..It is not hard to disable ..just press F2 on start up ..and go to BIOS settings ..and look for the feature that allow you to see the Hdd and disk drive ..and set them u ..it is either the device .or the advanced settings..Im not remembering exactly ..its the second or the 3rd feature..and in there you will find a function named...AHCI...this have to be disabled in order that the laptop to see and function with the HDD ..otherwise it will say that the HDD is missing or the boot device is not present ..

Im trying to install my printer to my laptop and its telling me that the system does not meet one of more of the requirements needed to install this product.

Those printers need lots of RAM memory and enough hard drive space. You should have at least 512 to 1024 MB RAM memory and ewnouigh hard drive space otherwise it wont install.

Sony Vaio VGNNR330E laptop wont start up right even after recover

I think you may have bad sectors on the hard drive which is why it loads the software but then when it comes time for the system to read it, it just hangs cause it can't read into the sectors on the hard drive.

Best way to determine this, try another known good working hard drive and if it goes thru all the way and loads then you know the original hard drive is bad.
