Question about Bosch AquaStar 2400ES-LP

1 Answer

Installed this unit last Sept. I have started getting A# error codes. This has something to do with a jumper. I'm not sure how to correct this issue.

Working on a N1321-ASME unit installed in a Taco Bell. Getting error code 21. Unit gas pressure is at 8.5wc and manifold pressure spikes to 2 when it come on but unable to see what it remains at because...

I recently had a similar problem with my N-132M-ASME heater. The unit would come on, then shut down and flash Error Code 21. According to the owners manual, that code indicates the unit is not getting enough air. I tried vacuuming the unit, blowing it our with air and checking to be sure the exhaust lines were clear. Nothing helped. A service technician came out and recommended I descale the unit and clean the burner. I did this but the problem did not go away. He also suggested I replace the Burner Sensor. It's not an expensive part, around $20. I ordered the part and have not had a problem since I installed it. Hope this helps.

My Noritz tankless will sometimes flash 5 red quick lights which indicates to me that it's not firing and I've only succeeded in restarting it at the circuit box. What servicing needs to happen to prevent...

You are getting an error code. A 5 flash error code is typically caused by voltage supply abnormalities. If you are using a generator, battery backup, or solar electricity inverter, make sure it is supplying your heater with a smooth sine wave AC voltage.

This code can also be caused by connecting jumpers inside the unit with power connected or buildup of soot on the sensors

Error code 13 (air flow) tankless H20 Rheem

Have 2 of these Rheem units in my house. Both had this same error code within 30 days of each other. And my neighbor has 2 units as well - and guess what - 2 months after mine stopped working because of the code - so did theirs. It is not something that can be fixed. It is a manufacturer's defect - and it looks like Rheem has yet another class action on their hands (like the one for the RTG - 74 PVN). They need to do a recall to repace these units.

I also a Paloma tankless water heater that is 2 years old. I am now getting an error code C7 76 also. Is this something I can take care of, or should I call a plumber to address?

Remove power source from the unit. If remote control is installed; remove cover and lift the control wires on the terminal...can be accomplished from either end.

Restore power and see if unit functions normally.

Contact Paloma/Rheem customer (800-432-8373) support and notify them IF you are getting a code "76" error. Rheem has recently extended the warranty on the "Burner Control Assm."; which is your problem. The C4-C8 portion of the error code, is where the unit stops the ignition process...burner fails to light, or gives you intermittent hot water. In either case, contact customer support .

If this helps, please indicate so.

Rheem RTG 53 PVN with fault codes C4 or C7

I had the same problem with my tankless waterheater (flashing c4 76 alternately). I called Rheem
tech support and they had me 1 power down the remotepanel 2 unplug the unit from the wall 3 remove the cover 4 remove the wires for the remote panel from the circuit board and pull the twisted pair that goes to the remote out from the bottom of the unit. 5 reinstall the cover 6 plug the unit back
into the wall and turn on the hot water see if it works. It did in my case and they are sending me a new remote panel. I hope it helps.........
