Load not draining properly. have to run spin cycle multiple times.

Check drain hoses to be sure they are clear and not stoped up. You can probably tip the washer back to get to it underneath. If you have to, unhook them and run water through them. Check the water pump be sure it is turning. It may have something in it or be stripped and won't turn Take hose that goes from tub to water pump & be sure it is clear & don't have something in it like a sock to stop water flow. Check drain to sewer for water going out ok. Be sure drain hose is not too high unlikely. Best way is to remove cabinet so you can get to everything and see the water pump. Hope this helps.

Washer stoped running and wont drain

Check you lid switch. This is the most common cause of the problem you are experiencing. Symptoms may include, filling and stopping on the intial fill cycle, a wash tub that will not drain, and stopping right after the wash cycle and not advancing to rinse or spin cycles.

The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug. If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3557193-replacing_a_lid_switch

On some models, the lid switch is located under the top casing by one of the lid hinges. You will know if you if you have this type of switch, because It does not have a lid strike and the small hole on the right hand side of the wash tub will not be present. This switch is actuated (toggled) by a rod on the lid hinge. With this type of switch, if you locate it and it can be toggled by hand, you may only need to adjust the actuator by bending it slightly.

NOTE: You do not have to drain or bail the water from the washer tub to perform this repair. Once a defective lid switch is replaced, the washer should drain normally.

A replacement lid switch (if required) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The average price is about $20 - $30 if you perform the repair yourself. Prices differ between sites so shop and compare. If the model number you posted this question under is correct, the part number for a replacement switch is 8054980.

If you have questions, or need additional assistance, please post back and let me know. The lid switch is a very simple repair that you can easily perform without the assistance of a repairman.

If you would like to purchase a Repair Manual to assist you with all your repairs, repairclinic.com has one that you can order on line for about $20. The part number is 1170635. Searspartsdirect.com also has a repair manual for about the same price. Part number 4314044L. I hope this information is helpful.

Washing machine is not going through whole cycle It is not draining or spinning and clothes smell stale

Inspect drain hose for kinks or cloged up
Test the lid switch some models lid switch must be closed
Check water pump may be stoped up or not pumping
Check hose from tub to pump for blockage sometimes a sock or something will get in hose.
Check belts & pulleys if has any
Good luck

Maytag top loadind washer. Won't stop filling up.

Make sure your drain hose to the drain pipe is higher than the water in the tub if not it will keep running and going out the drain.
Also try taking the hose off the level switch and blow in it to be sure it's not stoped up. If is it won't let the level sw cut off. air should go through it. Good luck
When you unpluged the power and it ddn't keep runing the water valve should be ok.

Machine stoped after wash cycle tub did not drain and reads F L kenmore elite calypso model #22064 100 type 170 cannot get it to start at all it keeps beeping and reads FL

The FL error code means:
Flood Condition:
FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

Have water under crispers not going to pan think drain tub e mite stoped up took frezer apart could not find it where is it

It's located below the coils inside the freezer at the very bottom. The water comes from the coils. Take a turkey baster filled with water and push the water down the drain. This will unclog the drain.
