Hi larryaw...
You can purchase the type of kickstand that bolts to the real axle and use it for your primary kickstand.

My engine cut off while I was driving and would not start. The starter would turn but not fire up. I noticed that I had a little oil in the bike. What could the problem be?

A problem I had with my c50 caused it to quit running while on the interstate and it turned out to be the kickstand had worn enough to cause the kickstand switch to not be pushed in! Found an old knit glove and wrapped the kickstand tab and got home. Bent tab a little and now good for another season or two.
