Good evening jeannttestac, is the owner of the computer is already logged in when you open Facebook.com? It sounds like they have a little box under the email address ticked 'on' (Keep me logged in). You, or they, will need to manually log that profile off, to enable you to enter a different email address in the log in page.
That should sort out the problem.

If your friend uses stored names and passwords, Facebook is probably responding to those. If it logs in to your friend's page, log out and then log in again with your own info.

SOURCE: Cannot log out of Facebook

The solution I found is simple...
1) Go to the "Tools" option in InternetExplorer
2) Then go to "Internet Options"
3) Select the "Delete" option in the browsing history section.
4) Menu will appear, simply UNTICK THE FIRST BOX! which states "Preseve favourites website data".
This will remove the facebook cookie and stuff so when you log out of hotmail you will not see that message about not being able to log out of facebook anymore =]

Hope this helps It really should!

SOURCE: im using my frieds computer and want to lod in to

Do the following:

1. Log out of your friends FaceBook account.
2. Log in to your FaceBook account.

When you are finished using FaceBook then:

1. Log out of your FaceBook account.
2. Get your friend to Log in to their FaceBook account.

Your log in will be your Email Address (or User Name you created) and your Password.

NOTE: if you have forgotten your passwords or email accounts, OR your friend has forgotten theirs.

THEN (your friend will need to check their profile information) before they log off. In the Profile, they will find what email address is listed as being the current one. (You can supply more than 1.)

I hope this information is useful to you. Please rate. Regards

I reinstalled Facebook after deactivating my account. But it didn't ask for a password and when I when to my account there weren't any photos or friends listed. Help

If you logged off instead of deactivating, you could log on again to your account. But if you deactivated your account, you will have lost your history. Ask Facebook about how you can reactivate your account, they might have the history backed up (or they might not). You will have to provide some evidence that you were the original owner of the account. If you can give them your email address that you used to open the account, that wouldhelp. But make sure you are talking to a proper Facebook support person before handing over any personal details.

Why I can't open my Facebook page I was on it earlier and now I can't get back on my Facebook profile page etc.

Hmm... someone might have hacked your account. Try checking your inbox from the email provider your Facebook account is associated with. For example, if your email address has a domain name of yahoo.com, then log in to Yahoo, check your inbox. Facebook sends you an email right away if your Facebook account was hacked. The email they send informs you that your email address was replaced with a new one. Then it asks you if that is your own doing, you can just ignore it. But since you suspect someone is using your account, then that person might have replaced your email address with his. If that is the case, then there's an option in that email Facebook sent you to 'let them know' or 'secure your account'. Click on it. If you're successful, you should be able to get hold of your account back. And Facebook system will even prompt you to change your password.

Moral of the story? You should not give any of your email addresses to anyone. Not even to family members, relatives or friends. If the computer you're using is also used by other people and there are no separate user accounts for each [meaning everyone can log into that computer as administrator then one safety tip is to NOT save your password in Mozilla Firefox. If you do and another person who is Internet savvy clicked on the browser's Tools menu [Tools>Options>Security>Saved Passwords] when you're away, then that person can hack your account/s. If you're the owner of the computer and you're sharing it with other people, better create a guest account or user accounts for each person who uses your computer, but make sure you're the administrator of your own computer and that each of you has his/her own password when logging on to the computer.

How do I get my old facebook account back?

For one thing, you do not open a Facebook profile for a business, you open a Facebook business page, if you insist on doing it, you should have used a different number and email address, that's Facebook 101.

I would suggest you log out of your new account, do a search for the old account, log into that one and change both the phone number and the email

Since Facebook only allows one profile per person, I would suggest you change both asap before FB randomly decides to eliminate one of the profiles

Changing users on same computer

If you want to change Facebook user accounts on the same computer, you can do one of three things:

1) Simply click on Account and Logout, then log in with the new user.

2) Use a different browser, like Firefox, so that the first user doesn't need to log out before the second user can log in - the second user simply opens the Internet in Firefox instead.

3) Create a new Windows user account. The second user would then log out of the first person's Windows account and log in to their own and open Facebook there.

There are two people on my computer who have facebook accounts and everytime I try to login to my account I get the other persons account. Facebook is not a secure account!!!! I am unable to even login...

The two other person should log out of Facebook when they are about to close the browser. If they do not log out, you'll automatically enter their account once you open Facebook.
