Hello. I would be happy to answer your question. The DPC7311 uses a glorifieds chainsaw engin and takes mixed fuel - I believe the manual says to mix the fuel:gas at 100:1, but that is with a specified Makita high performance oil. Most people mix it 50:1 and use normal two-stroke oil (actually it covers that in the manual also, I just found the info on page 12). The oil itself comes with the measuring cup (or marks on the side of a transparrent window), and has specific measurements listed on the container.

For your reference, I've included the links to the manual and the parts breakdown, both on this page. Hope this answer is what you need. Thanks.

How to clean cast iron both pots and pans

Don't..... just rinse with hot water and dry them, the blackening is otherwise known as "seasoning" and protects it from rusting, left to soak or washing with soapy water will rust the cast iron...... if this happens you need to remove as much rust as possible by scrubbing with salt and a cut (half) potato, then wiping with vegetable oil and "seasoning" in a hot oven (do this a few times, the oil will evaporate and bake-on a protective film) think of the edges of your favourite roasting pan....... well used/cared for cast iron will almost certainly look totally black.

Anyone know if covers exist for Dean Frymaster deep-fat fryers? I have three in a mobile unit and want to be able to move the trailer without draining the oil.

Hi there!
For open fryers, oil will still spill even with cover during transit because open fryer cover is not designed to contain/ hold oil inside the fry pot to prevent the spill, it is only designed to prevent foreign objects from falling inside the fry pot when not in use, draining the fry pot before moving the trailer from one location to another is only the best solution.
Regards.

Ccp-510 popcorn popper pops only small amount and quits

I had the same problem when I firs bought mine. I followed the instructions as to the proportion of corn to oil. Forget the book! I found that with this machine I had to use three times the oil that was caled for in the instructions to get all of the corn to pop. Better yet, we started purchasing the premade kits with the oil, popcorn and salt. Since changing to both of these systems we have enjoyed GREAT ppcorn!

Cooking Pot Return Problems

I use an old heavy 3-quart alumnium sauce pan with a loose-fitting lid, canola oil, and high heat with about 1/2-cup of standard grocery-store yellow popcorn. I get the empty pot nice and hot, add the oil, then the corn, then the pot lid. I shake it occasionally, but basically let it go until the lid starts to rise off the pot, and I don't hear any more pops. Pour it into a large bowl, toss it with very fine sea salt, and go to town! It's also fantastic made with bacon fat, but you need to use slightly lower heat to keep it from burning and prepare for visitors: The smell of popcorn and bacon fat draws crowds.
