That panel can be tricky. First remove the top panel that has the stich numbers on it. After that is off remove the 2 screws, then you will need to lift the right side off and wigle the bobbin winder back and forth. After you get the right side lose it should slide out to the right.
What are you opening it for?

I need to access the tension plates on my Pfaff creative 7570

To access the tension disks, remove the top of the machine as follows: 1. With the carrying handle raised, remove the cover (the piece that has all the stitches pictured). 2. Unscrew 2 screws completely; one is in the depression where the thread spool goes and the other is right behind the bobbin winder. 3. pull straight up. You may have to jiggle it a bit. 4. you should be able to see the tension disks from here.

How do I open the left side cover of my Pfaff 6091? The thread is stuck/twisted around something inside that compartment and I don't know how to access that area. Thanks!

On the top of the head there is a rectangular opening (about 1/4 inch x 1/2 inch). If you look in there with a flash light, you will see a screw with a star head. If you loosen this screw (don't take it out just loosen it) the head will come right off. The slot screw driver that came with my machine actually fits right in there and works great.

How to open the top of the Pfaff 7570 machine to clean

Don't bother going in from the top. Don't take out those two screws you see under the handle...they have nuts on the bottom and will drop off. Instead use a Torex screwdriver (think it is #25) and loosen, do not remove, the screw you see down in the left hand space when you raise handle. Screw head is about 2-3 inches down. Use a flashlight. After loosening screw, pull left cover off to expose lightbulb (easy to change now) and other mechanical stuff...you can use compressed air to blow out lint or a brush. Usually not needing oil, but a very little on some of the moving parts helps.

Need to locate a lamp changer for the Pfaff 7570

You my be able to change the light bulb without one. On some versions of the Pfaff 7570, you can remove the left end of the machine to access the bulb socket: remove the top cover that has all the designs pictured on it. Lift the carrying handle. Immediately behind the handle is a hole about 3mm in diameter. Down in that hole, probably too far down to see, there is a phillips head screw. Drop a Phillips head screwdriver into the hole, set it into the screw head and unscrew that screw. This will loosen the left end cap. Pull toward the left to remove this piece and you can access the bulb and socket.

I have a Pfaff 7570 and I would like to adjust the thread tension. Most of the time when embroidering it is set at 1 or 0...and never higher than 3-4. Also I can't get the light bulb end out. it broke...

Lift top cover. remove top cover (flat springs on each end of cover - move one with your finger and top will come off. Lift handle. Look to right of handle end over the head. There is a screw there. LOOSEN screw and front cover will slide away from head. Bunch up a paper towel or napkin and press into broken bulb socket and turn same counter clockwise to get bulb socket out. Good Luck!

While sewing on the pfaff 7570, light keeps going on and off

Looks like you need a new bulb. This machine takes a bayonet style bulb, part number 2PCW is the generic one but you can pay more for a frosted one ($2-$4). To replace you need to remove the lamp cover. Depending on the age of your machine you may either need a phillips or #25 star (torx) driver. The screw is hard to find, it lift the handle up and look just to the rear of it on the left side, there should be a small square hole. The screw is under it. Alternately there is another, smaller hole just to the rear of the first one. You can take your seam guide (or a coat hanger) insert it and push down about 1", the lamp fixture is spring loaded and the end of the bulb will appear below while you push down. While holding down on the spring, push up on the bulb and turn to the left and it should pop out. (note some early models do not have the access hole to the screw, in this case you need to remove the top tray insert, 2 very small phillips screws, then you can see the lamp cover screw).

As to the battery problem, there is a cover on the bottom of the machine that you can pry off. There are 2 AA batteries inside. Remove and replace, you may need to clean the contacts if any corrosion is seen.

best of luck to you!
