Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

A HP Color Laserjet 3000n has the following errors and will not print: 13.20.00 Jam Inside Front Door 13.20.00 Fuser Jam Inside Top Cover Error messages switch back and forth. I have checked for paper in all paper paths and fuser. Paper Path Sensor Test ABCDEFG 0001110 Is this a fuser issue or paper pickup assembly issue?

    I had checked out that link already and checked for paper in those areas identified in the document. Also, it will not feed paper in the single sheet feeder because of the error messages.

Usually I have found that there is a scrunched up piece or bit of paper in the fuser.
I am adding a link below that will take you through the step-by-step process and you should find the source of the problem. Be careful when touching the fuser that thing gets HOT!!

    Oh, To see if it is a pickup issue run a sheet through the flip down single sheet feeder. If it still jams it is the fuser.

    I had already check out the link above and checked for paper in all the areas identified in the HP document. Also, I am not sure if you can run a sheet through the single sheet feeder with the errors flashing. I cannot clear the messages.

    Media stopped in the paper path during power on or when the top door was closed.
    1. Remove all media in the paper path, and then open and close the top cover. 2. If the message persists after all media is removed: Check if media is jammed in the prefeed area. Replace any defective sensors or flags.

    HP couldn't do much because of the printer was out of warranty, but HP did answer my questions. From our conversation, the printer problem is because of the fuser or paper feed assembly or internal sensors. To try replacing all of these, well it would probably be better to buy a new printer. Thanks for all the help.

Power off the device. Remove the new fuser. Ensure there is no debris or paper through the paper path (blow some air through it.. Ensure all the flags are neither broken nor in the wrong position. Reinsert the new fuser, ensure the covers are properly in place then power on.

49.4C02 Error The 49.4C02 error usually follows a paper jam. When the customer closes a door after clearing the jammed media from one area of the printer, the control panel immediately posts a 49.4C02 error. Often, the customer will then power cycle the printer and it will hang at Checking Printer. For the 49 error to occur, additional media must still be stuck in the paper path.
Firmware version 5.005.3 contains a fix that allows the printer to recover and notify the customer of the location of the additional jammed media in the paper path. Customers who experience this issue should update to the newer firmware. This version of firmware also fixes the issue with the printer hanging in Checking Printer.
Since a paper jam is the event that triggered the 49 error, if paper jams continue, troubleshoot as necessary.

Your best method of troubleshooting is the manual sensor test as this is a generic paper jam error.

on your sensor tests:

0 = off
1 = on

C = N/A
H = N/A

A-F are paper path sensors - you can toggle them and watch if they change from 0 to 1. If they do, the problem is not in that area.

G can have states from 0-7 each one representing a different type of paper - shouldn't have anything to do with jamming.

hope this helps. probably a tiny piece of paper or toner somewhere. could also be a torsion spring out of position on a flag.

50.1 Fuser Error

50.1 error is usually a fuser low temperature error. The thermistor (electronic termometer) that controls high and low temperature is either obstructed, damaged or the heating element inside the fuser has been brokem or damaged. Carefully remove and inspect the fuser. If you have no obstructions then the fuser will have to be replaced.

Flashing red button with a triangle and ! in it . printer won't work

If only the attention light is flashing then follow the guide below -

The Attention (amber)
light is blinking.
Attention error. The top
cover is open.
Close the top cover.

printer is out of media.
Load media.
Attention error. The
printer has a jam.
1. Clear the jam (see pages 164 through 168).
2. If the location of the jam is not apparent, check
the embedded Web server to find the jam
 If the jam was under the imaging drum, toggle
the registration sensor to check its movement
and replace the registration sensor if it does not
move freely.
 If the jam was in the fuser area, toggle the fuser
exit sensor to check its movement and replace
the fuser exit sensor if it does not move freely.
