My jbl eon 15 g2 smell like burnt and everything works but the big speaker

The voice coil in the big speaker could have been damaged if driven to loud. See if the burnt smell is strongest near the center of the big speaker. If the voice coil is fried, you may be able to still find a replacement as there is a part number for the voice coil (V/C Assy, EON-G2220-27005-00) and the cone (EONG2

Sub repair

Well actually you can repair it your self with geat ease i may add,,

actuall all that can go in the speaker is the coil.. Yep the coil thats all

You will need a coil for it, a dust cap and the cone.
1.) using a knife, cut the cone off
2.) ulsolder the coil from the speaker
3.) resolder the new coil
4.) firmly fit and glue the coil to the new cone
5.) glue the cone to the metal edges of the speaker
6.) glue on the dust cap..
7.) have a beer your done..

You can get the parts at any local electronisc shop, I'd recommend you cut the cone and the coil off and take it with you when buying parts.

How can i get the wire from coil to connection ends

If you are talking about the wires that connect from the speaker coil in the cone to the terminals on the frame, there is nothing you can do if they are not long enough or broken. You will get the speaker re-coned. That is not possible with some speakers because of the manufacturers agreement with speaker repair places.

My subwoofers cone keeps detaching why is this

Your amp is too much, or your gains and bass boost are set too high and the sub is distorting. Distortion happens when any of those three things are happening, basically your sub is no longer moving straight in and out and the cone is trying to compensate. This causes the cone to break away from the coil.

The speakers rattle

looks like your voice coils got detached from cone, possibly, due to previous overloading. 2 ways to fix it: if the cone could be detached from frame, you may be able to reach the joint between the voice coil and sew them up back with contact cement and sewing thread., second: replace those speakers with more powerful ones.
good luck,

My basslink worked great, son blew fuse, replaced, now sounds lik

If the speaker has been overdriven, it may have damaged the cone surround or damaged the speaker coil, causing it to 'rub' inside the magnet. To check for rubbing, you need to move the speaker cone backwards and forwards by hand and listen where the speaker coil/cone goes into the magnet. It should be silent if ok. If you can heara rubbing or grating noise, then the speaker is damaged. If the output driver on the amp is damaged it can give a distorted sound, which could easily happen if it tries to provide too much current.

The orange circle around the speaker seems to be dry rotted. But the speaker works fine, except on heavy bass tones. M40 speakers

If these are Cerwin Vega speakers or any other for that matter thay need to be refoamed. See a local speaker repair shop about refoaming. Dont use them till you get them refoamed. It is like the speakers suspension and stops the driver from going to far in its excursion.

I think that one reason for a speaker to rub is due to over heating of the voice coil. This happens when power is applied to the speaker that is greater than the speaker is capable of handling. A second cause could be that the suspension and or cone is damaged or degraded causing the coil to be tilted or off center. In either case nothing short of rebuilding the speaker can be done to repair the speaker. Rebuilding would involve removing the cone and voice coil and replacing with new items. If you were talented you might be able to repair the existing cone or voice coil but the results could be iffy.

Kef Q Series iQ1 problem

You may have broken the cross over, which is fixable by an service agent, or you may have damaged the voice coil in the mid driver. you can check this by sofly pushing the main driver in, making sure that you done push the cone, if there is a lot of resistance then you have damaged the voice coil, and you will need to replace the driver.
