I need to take apart my Kenmore Progressive Bagless Upright with Inteli-Clean System

What problem are you trying to fix? The is no belt so you don't need to remove the bottom plate. If you are trying to remove the main hose, remove 4 screws on the back and remove the plate. There are 2 more screws under that.

Generic problem for all Vacuums
I am trying to take
I am trying to take my Philips vision 8731 vacuum cleaner apart because a heap of c*** got sucked into the motor when the bag was not put in correctly. I have removed all visible screws but cannot for the life of me find how the wheel end comes apart. Any tips?

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
I believe the part you are taking about is the fan and the fans generally are installed by a reverse thread and screws off counter clock wise. Once you removed the fan or the wheel you can use a blower and blow the motor clean, remove the carbon brushes and use a pipe cleaner to clean out the carbon brush holders and then re-install. Also free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages under vacuums.

Cleaning brush assembly on steamvac

Yes this does come apart. The clear plastic pieces clip into the black plastic piece, flat tip screw driver inserted into the gap can release the clips and allow for cleaning.
