Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
The part is readily available from eBay or a number of on-line retailers, and it is a simple diassemble, solder and reassemble job. If you are uncomfortable with a soldering iron, any local TV/Radio or component-level computer repair shop should be able to order the part and solder it in for you - it is a small job. The part is USD$5-10, and labor at a typical US shop should run as high as $50-$60.
If you find a friendly repair shop, they might cut you a break. Call around.
