Click Start
Right-mouse click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Hardware
Click Device Manager

If you see any question-marks, then you need to install a device-driver for the sound-card that it built-in to the motherboard of your notebook. Double-click that question-mark, and click "reinstall drivers".

Hi,
make sure that the audio or sound driver is installed. you can check that in your device manager
if windows 7: click start - type device on the start search area, look for device manager, look for sound, video and game controller, check if your audio driver is installed

Hope this one works. Thanx

The issue is present while you have external speakers connect or on the built in ones? If on both try check in device manager to see if you have any yellow sign on the sound devices area .Also double click on the sound device manager and then on troubleshooting button .If still same try reinstalling the sound driver or update the existing one .

Sound problem chipmunk voices on my acer aspire one. All of a sudden, every voice on my acer aspire laptop sounds like a chipmunk, or as though the news anchors have inhaled helium. How do I fix it??

Realtek sound has an "Audio Manager" control panel thing of sorts that can be opened by right-clicking a tray icon or using a shortcut in the control panel. The audio manager features a "pitch" setting that can get changed accidentally. All you need is to located that setting and return it to zero. Young children have a talent for finding this setting and changing it without letting the adults know that they have done so! Sound familiar perchance?

Open "my computer", is there a "My Bluetooth" listed there?

If not, open your control panel and configure your bluetooth settings. It will now appear in your "My computer" for quick reference next time you need it.

How to turn-on/function mic in my acer aspire one pc notebook?

To test the microphone, click "start" button, then "Control Panel", then "Sounds and Audio Devices". On the popup window that opens, click on the "Voice" tab, then click on the button that says "Test Hardware". After several seconds this will bring up a test program that will show a noise level meter when you're speaking into the microphone. (The default device listed under voice recording should be "Realtek HD Audio Input".)
