Hello,

the answer to your question is "YES".

You can take the fire-wire card from the dead laptop to the older one. It is the laptop that went dead and not the fire-wire card. So it is possible....

I hope this is clear......

Good luck.

I need a firewire card for my Aspire 4315. How do I know which one to get and how do I install it?

You have 2 options, A usb firewire card, or an Express card firewire card.
You have an express card 54 slot (there are 54 and 34 types)
The express card is a good option as most of the card is pushed into your laptop, and therefore is less prone to getting knocked. Here are a couple of examples http://www.usbnow.co.uk/p383/2_Port_Firewire_(i.Link)_Express_Card/product_info.html

The webcam on my Dell Vostro 2510 is not working. Help me please!

If you still have the motherboard installer CDs, try to uninstall your built-in webcam software. Restart your laptop and then install the webcam software again following the detailed instructions of the installation wizard.

Firewire

Hi there, I am fairly sure that PCMCIA card will fit in it.

Have a look at this picture.

The slot you looking for is on the top right of the picture, there is a lil button u press in, it will pop out, push it again and it will eject a sort of blank card, this is make sure nothing accidentally gets into the laptop when a card is not in use.

Hope it helps
