Hello,

I don't know precisely where you can get a charging port replacement because we don't stay in the same vicinity. You can ask from a friend where phone parts are being sold.

Read this tip and know the possible reasons why your phone won't charge. It was posted by me; http://www.fixya.com/support/r8742993-phone_charge

I hope this helps and point you to the right direction....

Good luck.

I have a htc h7 from tmobile. i have pics on my phone and wanna download the pics to my laptop into a folder. how do i do that?

Hi there!

You can transfer the pictures from your HTC Hero to your laptop using a USB cable.

First, make sure that you're phone is turn on. Connect the usb cable to the computer and to your HTC. Once you connected the phone & the computer, there will be a USB Connected option that will appear in your phone. Choose "mount." Open my computer and a new USB drive will appear. Open it and look for "DCIM" folder. Open that folder and open the folder named "100Media," that contains all the pictures from your camera.

Hope this helps.

How do you get the upgrade the htc hero to 2.1

Getting Started

Before you run the ROM Update Utility (RUU), make sure you have done the following:

  • Backed up the data on your device.
  • Standby or hibernation mode of your PC has been disabled.
  • Close all running applications on the PC.
  • Set aside approximately 25 minutes to allow the device to update.
  • Charged the battery to at least 30%.
  1. Download HTC Sync for Android.

Install the HTC Sync software on your PC if it is not already installed. This software was included in your HTC Hero gift box. The minimum required HTC Sync version is 2.0.28. We have HTC Sync for Android 2.0.40 available for download; newer versions might be available from www.htc.com.

HTC Sync for Android 2.0.40 (39MB)

  2. Download the Hero 2.1 MR Upgrade executable file.

    Hero 2.1 Upgrade (113MB)

  3. Connect your HTC Hero to your PC.

    Use the supplied USB cable.

If the HTC Sync application appears on the screen of your PC, you may simply dismiss the wizard by pressing the Cancel button.

  4. Run the Hero 2.1 MR Upgrade RUU file.

Follow the on-screen prompts to install the update for your HTC Hero
WARNING: During the upgrade process, do not attempt to make/receive calls, press any buttons on your device or disconnect the device from the USB cable as this will stop the update and your device may be rendered inoperable!

If you have a problem with the connection between your device and PC be sure to check the connection type in your device. This can be done in the device via Settings -> Connect to PC. Ensure that HTC Sync is selected.

HTC Hero(w/ google, not refurbished) is not charging. If I plug it in, it holds the battery level at whatever level that battery is, and every time i unplug it the battery just gets lower, and never...

If you are plugging it into the usb port of a computer then you may not be getting quite enough power, try plugging it into the wall via the wall charger and see what happens. If nothing happens I suggest taking it into the store you bout it from and letting them see the problem, a lot of them have policies for fixing this sort of situation.

I just got the htc hero and for some reason it says its charging but the battery never gets charged. once i take it off the charger (be it usb, car, or plug), it immediately tell me the phone is dying. ...

See if there is someone with a Hero and try their battery out. It sounds like your battery is not holding its charge anymore. If you just got it, take it back to the store and see if you can get a replacement.

Good luck.

How can I connect my htc hero to my laptop

You have to connect the HTC hero to computer via the USB cable. Then you will find a USB logo in the notification bar. Drag than down and select DISK Drive in that menu. Now the phone's memory will appear as a removable drive in your computer.

I want Modem Driver for HTC Hero phone using sprint network

Using the HTC Hero as a USB Modem
In order to use this functionality, the HTC Sync software must be installed onto the PC first (http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/synchronise-htc-hero-microsoft-outlook).
The HTC Sync installer is included on the SD card that comes in the Hero sales package, or alternatively is available for download from our FTP site:
ftp://ftpaccess:Brightpoint1@ftp.brightpointuk.co.uk/Technical%20Support...
You can download the software to your PC, or insert the microSD card into a suitable reader to access the software.
Once installed, on the Hero device browse to Settings --> Wireless Controls and enable the option to enable Mobile Network Sharing. Now connect the Hero to the PC via the supplied USB cable. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically and install an "HTC Remote NDIS Network Adapter": Provided that your Hero has a cellular data connection, you will now be able to use that connection from your PC.
