Question about Samsung HL-S6187W 61 in. HDTV
On occassion my screen flickers, sometimes it gets better and other times it causes the whole picture to turn kind of green and the tv starts humming very loudly. The only way to stop the humming and the green is to unplug and then plug the tv back in. Is there a way to stop this, or is my tv slowly going bad? What kind of problem does this sound like? It's covered under warranty with Best Buy, but I don't want to take it in unless is screwed.
The humming will usally come from the color wheel(one of the only moving parts), which is part of the light engine. If the tv is starting to get a green picture that is a sign that the light engine is on it's way out.
