Well it is either lack of fuel or spark. Often in the spring mowers will not start as the gas left in them over the winter has turned into a shellac and that has blocked the small fuel passages in the carburetor. There is a fuel additive called Stabil you can and should add to the fuel tank of anything which is going to sit idle a very long time such as a mower, snowblower, RV, etc.

Pull the plugs and spin the crank a few times, see if there is spark and see if the plugs are wet with gas. If no gas is getting through, someone is going to have to remove, disassemble, clean, and reassemble the carb.

22 hp in husqvarna mower, will crank and run 2 or 3 seconds and quit, have changed fuel filter and checked for water in gas

If it starts and runs, even for 2 seconds, it's more likely to be a fuel problem than an electrical one...I'd first suspect the carburetor float/valve being gummed up, especially if you've left it sit for the winter with gas in it...if that isn't it, then remove the gas tank and check the tank and lines to the carb for obstructions...

Why does my husqvarna riding lawn mower engine stall when I turn to the left

Probable something in the fuel tank that clogs the fuel line when you turn to the left.

Stiga park lawnmower

Are you certain it is a fuel problem and not electrical? Remove fuel line right before it enters carburetor, turn mower over and see if fuel is pumping out. If not, check for any foreign material in fuel tank where fuel exits the tank to the fuel line. You can do this by blowing pressured air into fuel tank and observe if fuel is coming out of end of fuel line. Check for clogged fuel filter.

Husqvarna YTH1842 stops running when hot

Try slackening the fuel filer cap, if the breather is blocked in the cap it will vacume and stop the fuel from flowing, if it runs ok with the cap loose replace the cap.

I have a YTH1848XP Hydrostatic Rider that runs fairly well for about 15 - 20 minutes and then shuts off. Sometimes you can choke it long enough to drive back to garage.

Check the fuel cap, Loosen the cap off and try it, the fuel cap may be plugged or missing pieces. If no air is getting into the tank it will eventually stop the fuel flow to the carburetor and if it sits for awhile you may be able to start it again for another 15 - 20 minutes. It will be worse with a full tank of fuel.
