The wheel goes around fast but just a hum sound... not the normal sounds. And there is only minimal draw of air. After awhile it just stops.

The upper motor is clogged with debris. To take apart the unit you first remove the screws on the bottom plate where the rollers are. Then remove the fasteners on the upper housing and the handle swivel. Separate the top halves to access the fan motor. Clean the dirt etc. and plug in the vacuum (be careful- shock hazard). The fan will blow out the rest of the dirt. Clean the insides and re-assemble.

My miele s571 hoover is humming from a normal sound to a real low hum sound and their is a smell of burning it even through my smoke alarms off what would be wrong or is it worth fixing

It could just be a slipping belt, hair and lint get under the belt and make it stretch the it slips and the spinning drive post heats it up until it starts burning.

SWEEPER STOPPED, WITH A LOUD HUMMING SOUND. THE

Do not turn on again. You have an obstruction in the fan . You will need to remove the motor from the lower housing, dismantle the fan cover and remove the obstruction, possibly replace the fan as well.
The lower housing plate can be removed revealing a set of clamps around the motor hosusing which will in tun release the motor from the base of the vac.

When vacuuming floor the air release opens on its own

Sounds like you have a clog in the throat of the floor head. The air release assures air continues to feed and cool the motor.

Check the floor head for a restriction.

Vacuum goes in circles and stops

Blow out the front, dome area with compressed air. All around the little white wheel and the bump sensor in the front of it with air.

Will fix it.
