My iPad was "reset all setting" and now it only display an usb cable and draws an arrow to the word itunes. It is iPad 16 GB Model A1396, FCC ID: BCGA 1396 and IC: 597C-A1396 How to return it normal?

It is telling you to connect it to your PC or laptop where you have iTunes installed. If you don't already have iTunes installed in your computer, you will need to download and install the iTunes software to it. When your iPad is connected, iTunes will synch and update it if you managed to erase the O/S or other necessary items. iTunes connected via the USB cable is even able to install or update the tablet's operating system. It's not just for music.

Your laptop or desktop will need to be connected to the Internet in order to download updated or original operating system. Just follow the prompts.

The I Tunes icon is on my phone and won't let me go to any other application including that one

It looks like you updated OTA (Over The Air). What you have is an iPhone in recovery mode, nothing to worry about as long as you have a computer. The icon is letting you know to connect the iPhone to the computer to restore your phone since something went wrong. If you have a back up in iCloud, you should have no problem restoring everything the way it was. Best of luck.

Have you got the latest iTunes?
Open up iTunes on your computer (Windows or Mac) then connect the iPhone to the USB Port via Charge Cable.
Make sure your connected to internet.
In LH Column click on your iPhone or it's Name.
(If there is no LH Column,
Go to View in Top Menu and select Show SideBar)

Click the BACKUP button. This does a backup of your iPhone software.

I have a iPad how do I get the update to IOS 6.1.2

- depends on the model of your iPad:
For the iPad first generation (A1219) to update is only possible with connecting the device to iTunes on a computer.
- but this model supports only iOS 5
- NO iOS 6/7/8 !
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
for all other models:
There are two ways to upgrade the iOS version of your iPad
- via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer
- or directly from within the device, but only since iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)
- just go to: settings - general - software update.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • or Connect your iOS device to your computer using an USB cable. Wait for iTunes to open and connect to your device.
  • Click on device button to the left of the iTunes Store button in the top right corner in iTunes.
  • Hold down on the option key (Mac) or the shift key (Windows) and click the "Check for Update" button in the Summary pane. Browse to the .ipsw file you downloaded and select it.
  • Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.
  • If necessary, restore your device from the previous backup and sync with iTunes.
  • until the update has finished.
  • If necessary, restore your device from the previous backup and sync with iTunes.

3rd Generation iPod Touch

The third generation of iPods includes iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch and iPod Nano. Installing the latest software for each of these models involves the same process and requires the latest version of iTunes to perform. The 3rd generation iPod Touch uses the same iOS 4 operating system that the iPhone uses. You can download the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website for free. With iTunes, you can install the most up-to-date software on any 3rd generation iPod for free as well.

Download iTunes from the Apple website or check for the latest update by clicking "Help" at the top of the screen. Scroll down to "Check for Updates." Open iTunes either by clicking its icon in the Start menu or by connecting your iPod to your computer with the sync cable. This cable looks like an ordinary USB cable with a special attachment on the end that plug into your iPod. If you have lost your original cable, you will need to purchase a replacement. Any type of iPod sync cable will work, as long as it is compatible with your 3rd generation model. Wait for iTunes to update or restore your iPod automatically. Enter your iPod's name in the top field when you are prompted. Check the box next to "Automatically update songs on my iPod" if you want iTunes to sync your hard drive's playlist with your iPod every time you plug in your iPod. Select your iPod from the "Source" list on the left side of the screen if you need to update your software. This will take you to a screen with links to iPod software updates. Click on "Check for Update" to look for the most up-to-date iPod software, and click "Download" and "Install" to install the software. Do not unplug your iPod during installation. Check the box next to "Automatically copy photos to my iPod" to sync a photo folder on your hard drive with an iPod with a color screen. Choose the folder you wish to sync with your iPod from the "Synchronize photos from" menu. Click "Next" to move to the final screen. Click "Register My iPod" to send your personal information to Apple and then click "Finish" to end the installation. Your iPod will appear in the "Source" list on the left side of the screen. Apple iphone 1st generation

That is DFU mode. It's there for software upgrading/downgrading. If you can't get out of this mode, reloading the firmware from Itunes will release it.

Open up Itunes.
Connect your IPhone.
Select your IPhone in the left window frame.
Press the "Check for Updates" button located in the summary frame.
Click "Download and Install."
Don't disconnect it while it's doing it's thing.

Once it finishes you will be out of DFU mode.

Hope this helps,
BReady

Computer shuts down when connecting iphone

Try the latest itunes:

http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

- Quit iTunes if it's currently open.
- Visit Apple Downloads to see if there are newer versions of iPod Updater (this contains software for all models of iPod) and iTunes than what's installed on your computer.
- If there are newer updates available, download the Windows versions of the updates, then run the installers on your computer to install the updates.
- When it's finished, iTunes will already be updated, but you'll need to run the iPod Updater to update your iPod, so connect your iPod to your computer.
- On the Start menu, point to All Programs, point to iPod, point to iPod Updater, then click the latest iPod Updater.
- Click the Update button to update the software on your iPod (if the Update button appears unavailable, your iPod is already up to date).

If it still fails, remove the automatic restart from windows:

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
Go to Advanced
Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"
