Cool thing about these new computer controlled appliances is that they diagnose themselves. Easiest way to find issues is to run a diagnostic test: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9576766-found_small_part

Test T02 will show you the most recently encountered codes. At the bottom of that posting is a link to the code definitions with problem resolutions: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9556917-ge_model_wcvh6800j_error_code_04

Post back once you have the codes and we'll see about next steps.
If there are no error codes and you can't get any water to move, do "t08" and "t09" tests to check the valves. Water won't fill the washer - chris_in_ma_7.jpg

Can I adjust the water fill valve on my G.E. washer?

You have a blockage between water valve to machine , hoses, or the valve that the hoses are attached to on back of machine. if you have hard water that valves small filter could be clogged up with small mineral deposits. You can remove this valve after removing top of machine, and clean it or you can replace the valve. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Washing machine won't fill

This can be due to a clogging of the inlet valve as the water flow is restricted. You can remove the water line to the washer and check the flow , then check if the inlet valve works after the power is switched on the washer , If there is no flow to the drum then the inlet valve is faulty provided there is power to the valve or the main controller is faulty

My washer initial had a rinse cycle problem where no rinsing occur after washing, now it spreads to the wash cycle where it is pausing at the this cycle, need urgent advice

The problem is you are not getting cold water fill. (rinse is all cold water fill) Check to see if the inlet screen is plugged by turning valve off that supplies cold to the hose attached to the machine, then removing the hose at the machine and checking the filter inside the water valve where the hose was just removed from. If screen is not blocked, replace water valve.

Washer will only fill with hot water not warm and if I set it for cold the water just trickles out

Check the hose line filter on the cold water side remove from machine if clogged clean and replace if you don't have a screen filter in hoses and rust or iron gets into water valve you may have to replace valve

Washer Fills HOT WATER ONLY

If you checked the screens at the water inlet valve and they were not clogged, then you probably have a defective water inlet valve and will have to replace it. Hope this helped.
